foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Pearson would much rather manage in the PL than go to Porto, just his agent trying to get Pearson a bigger deal
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I remember a similar thread to this starting a few seasons ago about Hull City. Oh how we laughed about that at the time...
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I remember a similar thread to this starting a few seasons ago about Hull City. Oh how we laughed about that at the time... Certain circumstances led to that, Pearson was forced out he didn't want to go...
TrentFox Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 Did anyone hear on MOTD they mentioned Harry Kane going to the World Cup? As what ?
David Lowe Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 He has worked hard to get to the Prem over many years and then just tosses it all away and nips off to Porto! As Darren Fletcher said on six-0-six last night - football is a funny game but not that funny
Les-TA-Jon Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 On MOTD the commentator just made some throwaway rhyming line like the always do. Something along the lines of "Peter Crouch has scored x goals in x games, but he's unlikely to get to Brazil this summer, meanwhile at the other end of the career spectrum is Harry Kane with x goals in his last x games, maybe there'll be calls to get Kane on the Plane" It wasn't a serious suggestion by anyone.
jimmeh Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9918308.Villas_Boas_interest_too_late_for_Burnley_job/ Could well be some truth in it to be honest. He recommended villas boas to Burnley when he was an unknown manager. Definitely got links with Porto
jimmeh Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 That was when villas boas was at academica. Who did he manage next, Porto Also this Link confirms that Mickey Walsh is based in Porto. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2915/europa-league/2011/05/18/2492052/former-porto-striker-mickey-walsh-believes-manager-andres-villas- It wouldn't surprise me if he has recommended Pearson to Porto but whether they go ahead with anything is a different matter. I wouldn't have thought they would go for a second division English manager mind! Stranger things have happened though
Stadt Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 If he spoke Portuguese then there's a small possibility but as far as I'm aware he doesn't.
cjslcfc Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Pochettino doesn't speak english though Well he's got you fooled then. You think he talks to his players through a translator?!
WhispyWizard Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Did anyone hear on MOTD they mentioned Harry Kane going to the World Cup? More chance of this happening than Pearson going to Porto!
Corky Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Pochettino doesn't speak english though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAieod4JpnY
blue army 1988 Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Pochettino does speak english. Hes having lessons at the moment but speaks through a translator on motd because his english isnt very good.
MC Prussian Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Pochettino does speak english. Hes having lessons at the moment but speaks through a translator on motd because his english isnt very good. I was always wondering whether his translator was there with him on the spot or whether they were translating this post-match statements at the BBC later on.
LeicesterBran Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Pochettino actually speaks very good English. It's just that he prefers to speak Spanish in Press Conferences.
Richard Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 He says his English isn't perfect enough to face the English media and he's worried about being mis-quoted
