The article said we have better owners and we're set up better but went into little detail why, a decent read nonetheless.

Some interesting points made there. Obviously our owners have intelligence and a feeling for the club (let's hope they maintain it) unlike the owner of Cardiff, or Hull for that matter.

However, don't forget that we had our own dalliance with re-branding in the mid 70s when Jimmy Bloomfield changed the strip to all-white in the hope that our opponents would think they were playing Leeds or Real Madrid.

We nearly got relegated and were back in blue by the start of the next season.

1972-73 season if I remember correctly. One of the greatest games at Filbert Street in my lifetime during that season under the lights with Leicester playing in white. 2-0 down to Liverpool at HT. Came back in the second half to win 3-2. Weller 3 Toshack 2. Great memories.

We frequently did well against Liverpool back then. A tradition which was revived under MoN.

I'm looking forward to playing the Reds next season.

Interesting read.

I real feel for Cardiff City fans (and Hull 'Tigers'). I would like to see the FA/FL do more to protect the heritage of our clubs. Team colours, logos and names should be sacrosanct. This needs to be made clear to any would-be owners who want to take a club and turn it into a marketing campaign for their own benefit.

OK we have been really lucky with our owners. Or perhaps just lucky that the King Power main colour is blue anyway. Note that we have also had to incorporate a King Power gold colour into our kit. Whatever they say, they are not here just for the fun of it.

LCFC is a marketing tool for King Power now. As long as this aligns with our interests then great. But I do worry about what will happen in 10 or 20 years time. If it becomes acceptable to change a club's colours or name, then it may become tempting for us to be re-branded as 'KP Leicester'. Ugggggg....

There wasnt a club in the country, that wasnt changing their kits in the 70s,re-branding has been a part of the proffessional game, but not on the scale of Cardiff or Hull.

Oh one thing more, City never played in all white..they had blue collars, and cuffs.

Sometimes with blue with star bands over their shoulders, not many fans complained at the time.

Our first 15 years team kit were not blue and white, that first started in 1900, with 3-4 kits in those 1st 15 years .
