Kit clashes

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of teams are playing in their 2nd kit, even when there wouldn't be a clash if they played in their 1st kit.

Match on now is an example, Swiss all in red but French playing in white instead of their usual blue, any reason for it?

Marketing I guess. France might not wear that shirt again at the World Cup, so they need to get it seen, so people buy it.

Im probably wrong but could it be because of their red socks? I know it wouldn't usually be a problem but with Fifa tightening up this World Cup telling the teams to play in solid single colours, if they have chosen to ignore the new rule which I believe France have Fifa ordered France to play in away as they are now being stricter on colour clashes as a way to enforce this new rule? If not its a pretty pointless rule

yeah you can't both wear dark colours, hence the spain/holland game ending up with both teams in their away kits, because spain's home kit was red so clashed with both orange and dark blue (apparently) and holland were the away team.

Ridiculous edict from FIFA. Like last Friday, Spain v Holland. Spain had to commission a special kit for that game on FIFA's say so. Joke.

Surely they flick for whoever plays in their home kit and whoever plays in their away kit. Like they do in Cup finals?

edit: I think I've got that wrong because France play in blue, in this instance.
