I feel like a broken record... do you know the last 4 years, you might not have noticed but when we signed "higher profile" players, we tended to be pretty average to shit. Then Pearson comes back and created a team from players people on here said "weren't good enough", "weren't high profile enough" and we ended up storming the league.

It's not about signing players than make you feel happy because you've heard of them and their name has been in the papers more than others. It's about creating a team that works, it doesn't matter who these players are or where they come from to achieve that.

Really don't get the obessesion with big name signings, the ones we could attract will be past it and will still want a huge wage. You'd think they way we tried to go about it with Sven would put people off but obviously not.

You only have to look at Knockaert and Mahrez to see why we don't need big names on big wages. Hardly anyone even knew they existed before we were linked with them.

I find it far more exciting signing a completely unknown player for pennies than paying 70k a week to a 35 year old walking ambulance.
