keown is definitely commentating on a different shootout to the one i'm watching.

"What a save by Cesar. Reminiscent of Banks against Pele".

What happened to he rule stopping you from stuttering run ups? Neymar takes the piss.

There isn't one. As long as you keep moving its fine. That was a perfect run up.

Brazil need to step up if they're going to last much longer. If that was Germany or France (in their current form) they wouldnt be so lucky.

Don't get all the hype surrounding Brazil over the years - they don't play attractive football at all.

Fancy Germany, holland, france, argentina and even colombia to beat brazil, and beat them convincingly, possibly see a thrashing coming to be honest. They should of gone out at the knock out stage (Neymar red card, dodgy penalty, fred offiside) and would probably of finished bottom.

Last penalty was half an inch from being perfect. They were half an inch from winning it in extra time. Seriously unlucky for Chile, but the right result for the tournament. What a game.

David Luiz is a sound lad, don't understand why there's a few on here that seem to hate him.

Well the media hates him because he isn't a 'old school english center back'.

Basically unlike our players he has technical ability, goal scoring ability and the desire to try and win a game from center half.

It is sad to see really, just jealousy because the whole of Brazil's back four have more technical ability and flair than any england midfielders/forwards.

It seemed like more of a personal thing from a few of the comments on here. He's one of the most down to earth footballers I can think of, clearly in love with the game, funny, relaxed and he was consoling a couple of the Chilean players moments after the shootout.

That's without even mentioning his passing and vision for a CB.
