From a selfish viewpoint, I'm pleased that Brazil sneaked through as it keeps me in with a decent chance of winning £170 on an accumulator and it probably benefits the tournament to have the hosts in a while longer, at least. All the same, that's hard on Chile, who could easily have gone to at least the semis with a different draw. "Queso duro!" Really, really hope that Colombia can put the Uruguayans out now. Loved the people when I was over there as a wild youth(Ish) and love the panache with which they play football....I have a nasty feeling, though, that Uruguay will sucker them on the break and then contribute nothing in the quarters. Viva Colombia!

I imagine most would think Medel a quality signing and not just because of his World Cup performances but how he played last season for Cardiff.

That game last night would have been over way before if Brazil had a second quality striker. IMO thats why they wont win the world cup. Jo is no better. It fascinates me how England can be in 'a transition' (again) yet I'd play Sturridge over Fred or Jo any day. And Brazil are bookies faves for the tournament.
