Argentina - Respect or disrespectful?

Recommended Posts

So Argentina wore black arm bands last night in respect of di stefano who recently passed away. But when they came out for the second half only the keeper had kept his on, you could even see one player (not sure who) take his off as soon as the whistle went for the end of the first half.

Anybody know why they took them off?

Surely a bit disrespectful?

Kept on rubbing in their skins? Can be quite irritating whilst working out having something really tight strapped around you...

And the goalie doesn't half run/sweat as much as the other players, so it irritated him the least.

I find it a little but odd that people wear black armbands as a mark of respect anyway.

It was Higuain who took his off as the whistle went for half-time.

No idea why some only wore it for 1 half though.
