Â I think the way NP reacted when the deal was brought out in the open shows this, as he wanted it all kept hush hush, a sort of surprise for the fans. Perhaps that's why SSN and other media will not confirm its done 100% because the way NP reacted or he has told the media to keep it under wraps as he wants the club to announce it first. Â It seems funny to me it took SSN a few days to even announce the players name in the transfer centre section, an was only saying a champions league midfielder. They are now saying the deal is imminent or very close. this ties in with my other remark that they are not allowed to break the news untill officially confirmed by the club. Â This is only guess work but this is what i believe to be the case. I can see this although it doesn't strike me as something NP would do, but the Thais??? This kinda thing is right up their alley. MASSIVE signing, MASSIVE exposure, MASSIVE deal for the Thailand following and with King Power emblazoned all over the place this seems so set to happen. (I'm guessing this game is live on Thai TV?) Probably even big coverage in Argentina, Spain, Italy etc? King Power anyone? They are certainly making a statement with this signing so why not use it to their best advantage? Â Of course, it may not happen but the way things have progressed and with the Club/Sky/Press/Connections all (Well, nearly) not commenting or even hinting it's seemed absolutely primed for him to be introduced today. As you said, I can see it lifting the crowd even more! I would do it before the game and not at halftime though. If the unthinkable happens and we get spanked in the 1st half it would be a huge anti climax to an incredible signing.

I think it's more about scoring enough goals that will secure safety.
