AnotherShitSeason Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 Just 3 or 4 more singings then & we'll have the Europa place I predicted sewn up.
WhispyWizard Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 He passed the medical. No, so they had to goto a more reliable doctor for another medical
TheUltimateWinner Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 How I feel now I KNOW HE HAS signed But... He hasn't
JIMMYWILLIS Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 Journalists generally have better insight into transfers because they have more contact with clubs/agents etc. Faceless ITK-braggers are just looking for a bit of Twitter/messageboard fame. [indyKuntingKaila being a prime example] Why do so many 'journalists' get so wound up by Indykaila? If it's some kid posting links from other sites etc so what?? Seems strange to me that he rattles so many cages.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 Are journalist sometimes asked to hold info back? Which is why rumours circulate long before they become official, particularly locally as it's in everyone's interest the local media and the club get on. No one wants a situation like they had down the road at the Big Top in notts. Of course. Most journalists know a lot more than they say publicly. Some agents/clubs use journalists to get stories out there, some keep journalists in the loop but ask them to hold stuff back. One manager (not ours, I hasten to add) was quite happy for me to link him with certain jobs if they came available. You build up trust with contacts and, generally speaking, if you break that trust once, then they may not have anything to do with you again. I've also found over the years that journalists (usually local) who are full of their own self importance and try and be a bit clever, don't get fed a great deal from clubs and don't have a healthy relationship with the manager.

Kitchandro Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 Do you think MRS was dropping some sort of hint there....

I think Pearson has a good relationship with Stringer after how he reacted on Saturday

He knows fcuk all and he's also made trouble for genuine journalists.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 Just read the last 10 pages on a Nightbus home in London. Absolutely superb... It seems like it's happening now. I dare say we'll all know more in the morning! Up the foxes and can't wait for tomorrow! Anyone else on the 10am out of St Pancras?
Thracian Posted 15 August 2014 Posted 15 August 2014 Absolutely - as Mark says, we've been making progress for a few seasons now but this will give us so much credibility and make a massive statement about our ambition and determination to realise those ambitions. Academy development, team spirit, a winning mentality at every level, all these things matter and more. But, at the very top, the ability to attract top players is vital in attracting and developing more. It's a very significant move and I'm so pleased we've finally seen it through to fruition. Genuinely think this may be a massive turning point in the history of our club though (should it be definitely the case). With a player of his calibre joining, it will hopefully make our long term ambitions plausible. It will also help attract other players of his ilk maybe someday too. Although we realistically won't ever be in the same class as those at the very top of the English game, signings like Cuchu may see us go somewhere exciting someday. Europe. The FA Cup? I think after the last ten years we have gone through, this makes all the 'almost theres' and games against Scunthorpe etc worth it. Thank you Vichai, Top and Nigel.
Thracian Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Haha - i think my computer must be as excited as me!
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 I've just seen am urban fox on the way home. It's a sign...
johnny the fox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 But never forget the Falklands lads...fook the Malvinas......

Seems strange to me that he rattles so many cages.I personally know Indy went college with him figured him out with the whole KFC thingHe's a big fraud makes a lot of money from 'hits' on his website - bit like first4lcfc - morons that click keep him going I'd be slightly miffed of the obvious
Finnaldo Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Still nothing convincing floating around - To be fair we did get the news pretty late
Filbert_Ross Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 Still nothing convincing floating around - There is in my bog.

Mr RS, Are you going to leave that at people assuming/presuming you mean Ian Stringer?
Vlad the Fox Posted 16 August 2014 Posted 16 August 2014 I think Pearson has a good relationship with Stringer after how he reacted on Saturday I do. I find myself smiling a lot when listening to them and I certainly get the impression that there is plenty of smiles going on especially when stringer is pushing Nigel for info he knows he won't get. Their relationship seems 100 times better than it used to be, a friendly tussle.

Their relationship seems 100 times better than it used to be, a friendly tussle. But the point is 'does Nigel trust stringer with information' ? They may get on well but if he doesn't trust him, then stringer is as clueless as the rest of us and can't even drop hints.
