Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Didn't realise the KP had restricted view seats? They can't be that bad surely?
Guest MattP Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Yeah I got stuck in the West Stand in one once, if you right behind the bars where people come up the stairs it's a bit of a nighmare tbh.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Tell that to the guys who sit amongst Jobber Fixed
thybluefox Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 By the sounds of some of the comments from a few people on here, I'd think there was quite a few restricted view seats at the KP.

Cunningfox Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Up in the East Stand either side of the TV camera platform isn't great.
Munshi Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Probably be quite a few more because of more cameras being placed?
Kitchandro Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Yeh it annoys me when people say 'new grounds are so much better because you get no restricted views' - it's rubbish. As Matt said, if you're behind those bars in front of the entrances they're in your way. Also if you're low behind the goal it is a very poor view whatever the ground.

In comparison though, it's generally better. Back of the lower tier at Chesea you can't see the opposite goal if you stand up!
65RosesFox Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 The electronic advertising boards has caused problems as well. This is an email I received last week: For the attention of ALL CURRENT PITCHSIDE SEASON TICKET HOLDERS IN THE NORTH, SOUTH, WEST STAND. I would like to advise that the King Power Stadium has recently taken delivery of new LED Advertising Hoardings going round three sides of the stadium. Please could you contact Jim Donnelly LCFC Disability Liaison Officer from 8am Monday morning on 07990 588 915 to discuss and review things from there. For those that are at the match tomorrow then he will make every effort to speak to you at the match.
Lapwing legend Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Went to the game on saturday and was completely Gutted, these new advertising boards are completely obscuring the view for many disabled fans,I couldn't see about 5 meters in from the side line and the little disabled lad next to me in his wheel-chair could just see start of the 18 yard box. Surely something has got to be done about this as so close to the season starting.

Oh shit, I forgot those things are used every week in the Prem. They're so bright it puts me off the game. Does getting glare count as a restricted view?
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Oh shit, I forgot those things are used every week in the Prem. They're so bright it puts me off the game. Does getting glare count as a restricted view?Probably still not as bright and distracting as that lad with his flashing wheelchair lights!!
Jace Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Was watching SSN earlier and they were showing Burnley have had the LED boards installed for the Premiership, they looked slightly OTT for Burnley
Nalis Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Anyone got a visual of them? I knew for Champions League games a lot of stadiums have to free up the front few rows purely for advertising boards...
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Probably still not as bright and distracting as that lad with his flashing wheelchair lights!! Any need ?
Voll Blau Posted 12 August 2014 Posted 12 August 2014 Was watching SSN earlier and they were showing Burnley have had the LED boards installed for the Premiership, they looked slightly OTT for Burnley What, and they didn't for us?
Matt Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 I have a restricted view, caused by sodding kids and not much better adults/parents. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/51055-what-grinds-my-gears/page-539#entry3103141
fleckneymike Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 Probably still not as bright and distracting as that lad with his flashing wheelchair lights!! Who is that Lad? All the time with his hazard lights on.
promised land Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 Anyone got a visual of them? I knew for Champions League games a lot of stadiums have to free up the front few rows purely for advertising boards... The ones in the Champions league are a bit taller than the standard Premier league ones hence the first few rows empty, although yesterday I though ours were taller than the ones against Doncaster and the previous season when we had them. In May fans were hopping over those ones, you wouldn't have been able to do that yesterday as they're a good foot taller. Also they have scrolling adverts on the back for the fans to see, why?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 Also they have scrolling adverts on the back for the fans to see, why? To get your attention, and it works. I have no idea what Nyla Heroes are but that shitty advert is burnt into my retinas. I sometimes have problems concentrating and these things are a right distraction.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 17 August 2014 Posted 17 August 2014 The boards aren't as bright as the previous ones are they?
