Why do you delete threads?

Recommended Posts

Nothings going on.

Just 50 pages of claptrap.

But if that's what you want, there have it back.

That cambiasso thread was a good crack. Why did you delete it? Same with the Deeney one yesterday?

Are we out of line in what we are saying? Are we doing something wrong?

Reread the last few pages of Deeney, and you'll see why it was closed.

Define 'claptrap'?

There's been plenty of links to papers; among ones to 'reputable' twitter accounts etc. There's been no higher a percentage crap posted in it than any other transfer thread, it's just far longer than most.

It's a huge potential signing and perhaps the last thread that should be deleted on the whole forum at this time.

This is where Babylon's moaning gets us!

I was getting fed up with it. I'm constantly checking it only for people to be making another "joke" about him passing his medical. Better the thread reopened when there's actually some news.

They are idiots, little arguments are soon deleted, they don't even allow pictures of tits, spunking smileys or swearing

Other forums do.

If you want to see computer generated humans 'spunking' then I'd suggest Google image search of 'hentai'.

I can't see this helping the cause, really. In most cases, there's a valid reason for thread deletions or mergers.

Maybe more people on here need to realize that no one has the general right to post - all we have is the permission to do so.

Lets be honest.

The Cambiasso thread was foookin shit.

Every post was either a picture of some bald guy or "He's having his medical".

But it was a fun thread! As people said before, the logical thing to do if you don't like it is not go in it.

I don't like gay porn, I don't go on gay porn

How you are still allowed to post on here is beyond me.

But there isn't, Mark knows my views and I've said to him myself, sometimes there's things that you just have to let go.

There's no need to delete all these so called arguments, a forum is for debating and that's what people are doing, if it get's into a argument so be it that's what a forum is for, to agree and disagree.

Sometimes they are too quick on things, that necessarily don't deserve to be deleted.

Yeah, but for the most part in the Cambiasso thread, you can't call that "arguing" any longer, just one repetitious punchline after the other.

Well its really down to whether Mark thinks it enhances the forum and is going to attract new members and keep existing members revisiting as he deleted it he obviously thought it wouldn't.

As for the streaming thread in reality only the last few posts were worth looking at so rightly or wrongly I thouht putting all the reputable links in an opening post and starting afresh would be an improvement after all was anybody really going to search through over 1200 posts to find a working link. I reslly dont see what the problem is here.

One could ask why do people moan so much the forum is over run with moaning and people calling each other names. Intelligent debate and opinion is becoming a rarity.
