THRYLOS WILL LEARN SAYS LLAMA

Borussia Dortmand send Carl the Llama's Olypiakos side straight into the losers bracket of the FTDJC 2014 trophy.

In an exciting display of attacking prowess, Narborough_fox's schwarzgelben proved too much for the Thrylos as the favourites enjoyed comfortable passage to the 1st round of the Winners' bracket, the game ending 4-0.

The scoring started almost immediately - it was only 4 minutes in when the referee decided not to wait to see if Dortmund could win the match on their own and gave them a penalty for an innocuous shoulder rub from Ndinga, as requested in the case that BVB's success look in doubt by an anonymous letter signed "NB" accompanying a large briefcase full of money.  Reus converted.  Nobody really cares what else happened in the match other than to say that Dortmund looked the stronger attacking side and the referee continued to honour the agreement to award fouls to Dortmund if their players happened to walk into someone.  The game ended 4-0.

Olympiakos manager Carl Llama: "After winning the Obscurities Cup so comfortably we were raring to get out there and show the big boys what we're made of. Unfortunately that didn't quite happen for us today. That said I don't think the game was as one sided as the score suggests - our defenders did a great job containing their pace for the most part, but unfortunately a couple of questionable refereeing practices and a few moments of lost concentration make all the difference in a tournament like this. Overall the mood right now is disappointment, but all in all I've seen a lot of good things from the team today so I'm going to make sure the players understand those, learn from them, and try to build on it for the next match."
