Bellend Sebastian Posted 9 September 2014 Posted 9 September 2014 Hmm, a Lexus. The Japanese BMW. And I've ruled it out for the same reason - rear wheel drive, ugh!
Merging Cultures Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 Buy wouldn't the stats be the benchmark? I.e. we look for players with equal to or higher the benchmark stats. Therefore, they could exceed expectations. And the benchmarks are always going to be higher than the player we have now offer.

Not forgetting often they are young players with a lot of scope to improve on what must already be decent stats.
Jordan Posted 10 September 2014 Posted 10 September 2014 From what I've read of the articles it seems to me that we scour statistics to identify players of a certain standard to do a certain job, I'm not knocking that but we're not going to find some undiscovered talent who could go on to be a superstar that way. I'm not complaining, so far the policy has been a success. I'm just thinking aloud really. C'mon Webbo, I know you're better than this! It's not just about plugging in holes--it's about figuring out certain attributes to determine a player's strengths, analyzing and extrapolating data to project how a player would perform with Leicester and/or in the future, and finding undervalued players. A simple analogy would be to say Leicester have a "Moneyball" philosophy when it comes to scouting.
whoareyaaa Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 “If you look at the stats of players who played more than 10 games in the Premier League last season, only five players created more chances per minute than Marc Albrighton (David Silva, Willian, Samir Nasri, Juan Mata & Mesut Ozil). He also delivered more crosses per minute than any other player who started a Premier League game." So why ain't he playing then!!!

LibertyFox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Thought at Spurs last week Albrighton made a real impact when he came on, created more chances in 20 mins or so than Vardy in the rest of the game and looked much more comfortable. I would start him.
ramadaone Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Who rob Mackenzie?YesMassive loss Surprised they have let him go
lcfcsnow Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Good luck to him, maybe he'll thrive under better management. Seems ours are happy with their championship squad.
CosbehFox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Yes Massive loss Surprised they have let him go If it's anything like most scouts, he will have worked without a contract. I wouldn't rush to Spurs personally as every 2 years they have reshuffle of ballroom staff
Webbo Posted 1 February 2015 Posted 1 February 2015 Surely if all you're doing is looking at stats, anyone can do that?
