"Rangers currently only have Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora as their attacking options".

...and to think people are actually jealous of QPR's business...

Surely once the premier league squad is submitted you can't add to it?

You can pick up players without clubs I assume that you can add them to your squad if you have less than 25 players. So we might still be on the lookout as our squad is currently only 24.

From that article, he wouldn't accept a lower wage... so they went out and signed Demba Ba as a replacement. Surely Ba must be earning a ton, so if they were trying to cut their cloth with Almeida but were happy to pay Ba's wages (not necessarily lower, I'm aware), then surely that means that Almeida was on a fair wedge himself.

And as he wasn't willing to lower his demands, I can't see him coming here.

Pretty sure (footy manager knowledge here so bear with me) that if you leave space in your squad for them they can still be registered.

Players at their peak don't join Besiktas. Players worth half a crap aren't released by Besiktas.

Don't need him, don't want to pay his wages: our name is only in the frame because QPR's is and agents/journos are massively lazy.

You can sign free agents as long as you have space in your 25 man squad.

He would be a great back up to Ulloa as a Target man, as none of our other strikers can play in the same way as Leo.

Interesting - we only have 24 !  Do people think that Nige has left a spot, so that we can sign Almeida or some other free agent ?

I don't think we had anyone to put in that slot apart from Logan, but we already have 3 keepers, so probably keeping his options open in case there is an unattached player that he is interested in, or just so that in January he can bring in one more player without having to leave anyone out the squad.

I would have thought that if we can add new signings we could add Logan if we had a goalkeeping crisis and needed him, would be a bit perverse if we could add a new signing and not an existing player.

Leicester scout watches young Norway aces Leicester City, Latest news update: 33 minutes ago Leicester City scouted several Norwegian players in last week's friendly international at Wembley which England won 1-0. The Foxes had a representative at the match, settled by Wayne Rooney's second-half penalty, paying particular attention to a crop of young Norway players who could be available in the January transfer window or become more long-term targets. Norway fielded a very young side, with an average age of 23, which included Molde defenders Martin Linnes and Vegard Forren. Linnes was deployed at left-back but usually operates on the right for his club while Forren, 26, is back in Norway after a failed spell in the Premier League with Southampton. Norway's best player on the night was former Arsenal youth player Havard Nordtveit, who now plays in midfield for Borussia Moenchengladbach but kept England's forwards quiet in central defence at Wembley.
