gazfox9 Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Mahrez on top for the goal and assist. Konchesky had a good game, and De Laet was alright. Was surprised to hear Drinkwater got Matt Elliot's MOTM. In general, pretty poor all round. He was my MOTM too. I thought Drinky was outstanding. Looking at the reviews not many agree tho.
Leicesterpool Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Most of the squad got a five out of me, looking back for me there wasn't any stand out performer. Okay if had to pick a MOTM I'd go for Mahrez.
Rusko187 Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 I had concerns about Konch going into this season but I'm happy to say he has proved me wrong, been completely solid all season for us and my MOTM is between him and Schlupp. Both link up well for each other, if we can get Sclupp finishing again he will prove to be a match winner for us.. Good on the ball and some good runs today, if he could shoot he would have finished with a brace today.
Danno Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Remember when people wanted Drinkwater and Moore in the England squad haha.
Danno Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Schmeichel 4 De Laet 6 Morgan 5 Moore 5 Konchesky 6 Mahrez 8 Drinkwater 6 Hammond 7 Schlupp 4 Vardy 5 Ulloa 4
ImBlue Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Schmeichel 4 De Laet 6 Morgan 5 Moore 5 Konchesky 6 Mahrez 8 Drinkwater 6 Hammond 7 Schlupp 4 Vardy 5 Ulloa 4 Please explain the 7 for Hammond? Or are you winding up?
Danno Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Please explain the 7 for Hammond? Or are you winding up?Thought he played well and moved the ball on quickly unlike Drinkwater and James who took an age to pass the ball and slowed us down.
1993fox Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Schmeichel 4 De Laet 6 Morgan 5 Moore 5 Konchesky 6 Mahrez 8 Drinkwater 6 Hammond 7 Schlupp 4 Vardy 5 Ulloa 4 4 for Schlupp but 7 for Hammond? Good lord you sure this is for today's game?
mhs123 Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Kasper - 5 De laet - 6 Morgan - 4 Moore - 3 Konch - 6 Riyad - 6 Hammond - 2 Drinkwater - 4 Schlupp - 6 Ulloa - 3 Vardy - 5 Subs Nugent - 4 Knockaert - 4 James - N/A I think we lost it in the battle of Liam vs Lukas. Liam was totally schooled today and was nowhere near aggressive enough aerially. Didn't even make him have a bad touch. Dean Hammond however offers nothing going forward and looked a liability throughout, misplacing nearly every pass. Notable mention to mahrez and schlupp who I thought were decent. Why oh why did we no run down the clock when Vardy and Nugent broke away? Major stupidity. Oh, Pearson - 2. Got it all wrong for the first time this season. Failed to see what everyone else did and substitutions were baffling. MAN, PLAY YOUR BEST PLAYERS! Kasper - 5 De laet - 6 Morgan - 4 Moore - 3 Konch - 6 Riyad - 6 Hammond - 2 Drinkwater - 4 Schlupp - 6 Ulloa - 3 Vardy - 5 Subs Nugent - 4 Knockaert - 4 James - N/A I think we lost it in the battle of Liam vs Lukas. suffolk fox Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Gave them marks of 5s and 6s no real stand out performer gave Np 5 thought he got it tactically wrong today no Cambiasso?
Dickov22 Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Mahrez gets picked out by MOTD for his own personal highlights. Praised to the hilts Kitchandro 'Mahrez was really poor' Ha ha ok then

inckley fox Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 I'm surprised Konchesky is getting off so lightly. I thought he looked well off the pace and, not for the first time this season, failed to track a man for a goal. Yes, he had a few surprisingly steady games in the first few matches, when oppositions were focusing their attacks on the other flank, but I honestly think he's started to look like a weak link in recent matches. Then again, he's not been alone!
Hack Posted 4 October 2014 Posted 4 October 2014 Mahrez was absolutely awful Your and idiot if you really think that.
Brooksy Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Schmeichel 3 - Positioning for the free kick was absolutely pitiful. Should have come for the cross for the first goal too. De Laet 6.5 - Solid enough defensively. Was a threat coming forward. Morgan 5 - Someone needs to tell him to stop hoofing it and giving away daft free kicks in dangerous areas. Moore 5.5 - Meh Konchesky 6.5 - Standard Konch. Mahrez 7 - Goal and an assist. Probably our biggest threat coming forward, nearly scored a great goal before Schlupps. Drinkwater 3 - Dross. Wasn't in the game at all. Hammond 6 - Decent again. Schlupp 7 - Great finish and good attacking wise. Him and Riyad were probably our best players. Vardy 5 - Good work rate but didn't do a lot. Ulloa 3 - Shocking, lost possession too many times to count and gave away a couple of silly free kicks. Subs. Nuge 1 - Gash. James 1 - You don't make that sort of challenge outside your own box in the 96th minute mate
Dan Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Generally 5s, Mahrez gets an 8 (arguably generous as his second half was iffy but his goal/assist gets it that high), RDL & Schlupp both 7, Ulloa/Schmeichel 4, all the subs 3. All three subs were totally ineffective.
David Lowe Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 A lot of people going over the top on this thread. If so many of the players were really that bad we would have lost 5-0. It's a draw in the Premier League, another point towards the target. It's not going to be like Man Utd every week!! After their 4-0 defeat Burnley suddenly became the worst side ever and some supporters thought we would stroll the match. In fact they have been very competitive in all other matches. I'm not saying it was a great performance. Some players seemed off the pace...but be a bit more sensible about it - we were a minute away from victory.

Even with a fully fit squad they're probably the second weakest side in the division and they were missing 4 of their best 5 players, and had no recognised central midfield players. This was borne out in the game, in which they proceeded to completely bypass midfield altogether in possession and hammer long balls up to Jutkiewicz. They were just as poor as I thought they'd be, but the sad thing is that we were almost as bad. A draw doesn't mean everybody gets 5s and 6s just because it's a draw. The overall level of performance was very poor today - we were playing a side who, with their current injury situation, would struggle to finish in the top half in the Championship.
Webbo Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Both Mahrez and De Laet made the MotD team of the day.
Dickov22 Posted 5 October 2014 Posted 5 October 2014 Both Mahrez and De Laet made the MotD team of the day. And I've seen both given 3,4 ratings on here. I gave both a 7 and De Laet MOTM earlier in the thread

I disagree slightly. They're no mugs and worked exceptionally hard. They did lack quality, but I thought they looked much better in the second half and were worthy of a point.

Kasper gets a 1 for giving a player like Ross Wallace so much space to pick his spot. Even Wallace thanked him!. He's got a sweet left peg and great with the deadball. I wonder if Schmeichel knew this?

I wonder if Schmeichel knew this? Did you think Burnley played well Col? I've given Burnley plenty of credit for their industry,I just don't think they showed any quality at all until we gave Wallace a chance from a dead ball, and anybody who's seen him play knows he's more than capable. It's not their fault they weren't very good, they played the last 15 minutes without their 5 best players and all 90 without at least 4 of them. They were poor, and there were massive extenuating circumstances for that. But they worked hard and in the end got the reward their industry deserved.
