kingfox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 What has losing Schlupp and Mahrez in Jan got to do with what formation we play on Sunday? And at least spell their bloody names right.
Blizzard Posted 5 December 2014 Author Posted 5 December 2014 Apologies! Typo.Nothing, but January will be an even harder month without those two. Hence the use of a postscript.
Steven Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 4-3-2-1 Christmas tree. Ulloa Schlupp Mahrez James Camby Drinky Konch Was Liam R de L Hamer
Donut Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 It cant realistically be a straight 4-4-2, its too top heavy, its too easy to play in between the lines, it leaves us more often than not a body light in midfield too. Its got to be some kind of 4-5-1 where the wide players get involved going forward to support the front man (Ulloa for me) and defensively being disciplined and tucking in to make a 5. EDIT: A modern 4-5-1 that can become 4-3-3
Stadt Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 433 Hamer(hopefully) RDL Moore Wasyl Konch Cambiasso (stay in your fvcking position) James King Mahrez Ulloa Albrighton
benpicko Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Hamer De Laet Wasilewski Moore Schlupp Albrighton Cambiasso James Mahrez Knockaert/Nugent/Mahrez Ulloa/Vardy
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Three across the middle and one in bloody Pentonville?

Fatty Arbuckle Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Unless the players are going to pull their finger out I don't think it really matters what formation we play to be honest. I think I'm more in the Pearson out camp, but can't really fault him too much for the last 2 games. He's played pretty much the exact players and formation that we all wanted, but we've still lost and that is down to the players. I just don't know what's up with them at the moment, the amount of times they got caught out by the bounce of the ball, or a pass just missed them, was incredible on Tuesday. It can't all be down to a lack of quality because we never had these problems last year, so I guess it's down to fitness, fear, or motivation. Whatever it is, I would love Pearson to get it to click again I'm just a bit dubious that he can.

You can question certain things, but not their effort surely Because everyone wants certain players or formations, that doesnt mean thats what the manager should do and just bow down to that. Its about picking formations that are appropriate, not appeasing fans creating a racket. And the lack of quality is because weve gone up a division, had you not noticed? So the opposition players are better than last year, they generate mistakes in us and then exploit them better.
Monsell1976 Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Leicester will play 4-4-****in'-2.Desperate for a point, will probaly end up with 4-6-0, but can see him playing the dreaded diamond, to keep the game narrow, and prevent villa using their pace out wide
truebluethroughandthrough Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 ...........................Hamer .....RDL........Was..............Moore.....Schlupp ........................Cambiasso Albrighton...James............King..........Mahrez ............................Ulloa This But just praying that Mahrez and Albrighton are competent enough to cover the space behind them when not in possession. For me, it's our biggest weakness.
jimmer Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Gotta be this for me Kasper (although just as happy for Hamer to be given a shot) RDL Was Moore Konch King Cambiasso. James Mahrez. Ulloa. Schlupp
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 I don't want to see Cambiasso in the holding role because he is our most creative centre midfielder. Only bloke who can do that is Hammond.KasperRDLMooreWaylSchluppHammondCambiassoJamesMahrezUlloaAlbrighton
LCFC Rennie Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Same team we played against Liverpool for me.
