dayday Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 How is this guy chairman of the supporters club,he has hated Nigel from his first appointment, and is stirring the poo up again. I've heard him on Radio Leicester before, and he was negative to Nigel then,so what exactly is his role if any,and whats his problem with Nigel.
Dan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I'd like to know exactly how big the 'supporters club' is because to me it sounds like some cliquey self-serving bollocks. Ginetta's got a track record of talking out of his arse. Anything he comes out with is firmly taken with a pinch of salt.
HEGGSY Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 He's an irrelevant bellend. I'd like to know exactly how big the 'supporters club' is because to me it sounds like some cliquey self-serving bollocks. That's pretty much what it is.
ScouseFox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I'd like to know exactly how big the 'supporters club' is because to me it sounds like some cliquey self-serving bollocks. yeah i wondered this too. is the "supporters club" just this cliff fella sat on his bill trying to justify his stupid and irrelevant opinions as those of our "supporters club"? that's what it seems.

Well this was the "Supporters club enclosure" at Filbert Street so clearly their numbers back then were massive.
Harry - LCFC Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Well this was the "Supporters club enclosure" at Filbert Street so clearly their numbers back then were massive. Ugh, for them to even have their own enclosure doesn't sit well with me. Separatism amongst a fanbase is rarely a good thing, especially when you've manufactured the difference yourself.
Leicester_Numan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I found him embarrassing when I was in the supporters club back in the 80's. I never gave him permission to speak on my behalf and I don't know anyone else from back then who ever did either. But speak he did, often contradicting what the majority thought. He is not or ever has been the voice of the fans. He is the voice of Cliff Ginetta alone, and like a certain YouTube poster has no mandate from the masses to speak for them. Ask for their opinions by all means but as soon as they claim to speak for anyone else, disregard what they say.

That Youtube poster is one huge wind-up merchant Fair play if it was genuinely big once upon a time. Could've become something decent if it wasn't represented by idiots like Ginetta.
Babylon Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 This place probably has more members. In fact why don't we elect our own spokesperson. We have more people on here then the trust and supporters club. Lets finally have someone who speaks for a large group of fans. My vote is for Davie G... Or anyone but Col City, otherwise the press releases will only be about Cambiasso and DM's!!
Guest Bilo Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Union FS are probably bigger, speak more sense, offer more positive support and have more online presence. Ginetta talks bilge.
Bettsj2 Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 They had a well good bar in that corner of the ground. Chesse and onion cob and a pint of shandy for £2. Had a little terrace section too. Cliff was a bit of a div back then along with his Inspector Clouseur lookalike sidekick Charlie. I remember forgetting my membership card one game when I was trying to buy my lunch and he wanted to have me ejected from the area. I was only 13!
dogadug Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I've heard the supporters club is located near the dugout in the west stand
GaelicFox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 They have been spitting abuse at NP since he came back , but what ever has gone on he should apologise for that comment was out of order , not a sackable offence but surely an appology for that outburst is in order I also agree with pearson , support the team or why on earth go to the ground ?

Could've become something decent if it wasn't represented by idiots like Ginetta. It was bigger back then mainly because crowds had fallen so low that supporters club members made up a much larger percentage of the crowd so he had more of a voice. Barely a week went by without him being interviewed. I've no idea where he used to watch matches from because I never once saw him in our section, that's probably why he never knew what we were thinking or talking about. I left at the end of the 89-90 season so I've no idea what the membership is like nowadays or who is in it. It just seems a bit of an irrelevance now

He said he regrets it, he said he's sorry to those around the incident who didn't like it. The only person he won't apologise to is the person who called him a twat, which is fair enough.

I remember forgetting my membership card one game when I was trying to buy my lunch and he wanted to have me ejected from the area. I was only 13! I used to stand on the terrace next to the East Stand railing. Clouseau did my head in once, I went to the pre-season friendly with Cov and had to leave at the end of the first half to get to a darts match and the officious tw*t wouldn't let me out until 15 minutes before the end saying the police wouldn't allow it. What a pillock, it was a friendly, there was nobody about outside and I'm hardly likely to go down the Cov end a start a fight on my own. No need for it and I missed my match and couldn't play
HitchinFox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Cliff's a self-important weirdo with a wife to match (you'll have to google that one). For some unfathomable reason he's still regarded by some – including members of the media – as a mouthpiece for us when he clearly isn't. Having said that, unless he harms our reputation somehow, I don't care what he gets up to. Not sure how the club considers him, but the infamous Xmas party last year is a hint that he may not be regarded by the club as important as he would like to think. EDIT:Wasn't the Xmas party I was thinking. It was this:http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/94828-supporters-club-presentation/?hl=entry2981004
johnny the fox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I agree with every negative comment on here.. Im prepared to put a bounty of 5p on Ginetta's head....take him out please..
Guest MattP Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 He really is a turd. The club should send Paul Gallagher to his end of season party this season.

howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 The only reason there's a supporters club office now is so that self serving todger has somewhere warm to sit before the game so he doesn't have to mingle with the common folk.
Soar Fox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 You'd have a go on his daughter though wouldn't you.
FrankieADZ Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 who? whenever i hear this chap i tend to go into that mode where I have the magic roundabout theme playing in my head...as frankly it makes more sense than he does.
The Blue Moon Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 The Ginnetta's have a monopoly on those supporters clubs. Cliff runs the main one and Linda the youth team.
