Tom17LCFC Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 The Ginnetta's have a monopoly on those supporters clubs. Cliff runs the main one and Linda the youth team. hahahahahaha
Guest Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 The Ginnetta's have a monopoly on those supporters clubs. Cliff runs the main one and Linda the youth team. It's good to know they're alienating fans through the ranks. So many clubs forget that these days and it's all about the money.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 You'd have a go on his daughter though wouldn't you. Loads of the players have.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 This place probably has more members. In fact why don't we elect our own spokesperson. We have more people on here then the trust and supporters club. Lets finally have someone who speaks for a large group of fans. My vote is for Davie G... Or anyone but Col City, otherwise the press releases will only be about Cambiasso and DM's!! Oi! Don't forget Beckford and Sven! I'm sure i could sneak that pair in somewhere? At least i wouldnt go for the bloody mainstream!
Babylon Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Oi! Don't forget Beckford and Sven! I'm sure i could sneak that pair in somewhere? At least i wouldnt go for the bloody mainstream! Just like Ginetta, stuck in the past!
Bamba's Babes Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 How do you overthrow this Cliff guy? Doesn't his daughter work in the ticket office and go to all the away games?
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Just like Ginetta, stuck in the past! It's the only salvation I know with how we are bloody playing... No, I take that back..nowt's worse than Sven and Beckford...

You can just see it "Col who would the fans like to see Nigel Buy in January" Col "Unanimously they all want Lee Cattermole" lol lol
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 To right. You can just see it "Col who would the fans like to see Nigel Buy in January" Col "Unanimously they all want Lee Cattermole" lol lol Yes, I think I'd speak for everyone unanimosly, unaminously.....completely! And don't you start plonker!
sylofox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 How do you overthrow this Cliff guy? Doesn't his daughter work in the ticket office and go to all the away games? Easy sign up to the supporters club. Then at the agm propose someone and get as many to vote for him as possible. I think the big problem is finding where it is based and where you go to join. I have never met anyone who claims to be a member. Always thought it was a closed shop?
sylofox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Yes, I think I'd speak for everyone unanimosly, unaminously.....completely! And don't you start plonker! lol lol Your not upset are ya Col. You want Beckford back don't you?
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 lol lol Your not upset are ya Col. You want Beckford back don't you? Yes, and Lee Marshall as a DM.

Sounds very representative of the fans that. It's basically Cliff and his family right?
sylofox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Sounds very representative of the fans that. It's basically Cliff and his family right? He's been top dog as long as I can remember. He seems as safe as Sepp Twitter at FIFA. I think they use the same voting system as FIFA.
SantiagoFox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Things were bigger when supporters clubs used to run their own buses to the away games. Loughborough used to run a couple, melton one, coalville/ashby etc. Leicester branch insisted all the other ones joined with them and abide by their rules. Loughborough refused and I think they were told they weren't allowed to official functions etc. All seemed a bit petty really. I remember meeting Jock Wallace in a club in Loughborough - he charged for autographs! And the Loughborough bus used to sometimes stop at the pub - very very naughty according to CJ / leicester branch.
foxinsocks Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 OK let's have a club - clearly there are some issue we will have to ait on the fence on (like lee cattemol...) but we could be united in our dislike of the supporters club and Ginetta
HitchinFox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Can we strike a deal with the Anderlecht lot? Next time they turn up, we give them Ginetta as thanks for Wasyl – they pack him up and take him back to Belgium with them. Problem solved.
PAULCFC Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 DOSEN'T SPEAK FOR ME.....and i don't usually shout.
Bettsj2 Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I used to stand on the terrace next to the East Stand railing. Clouseau did my head in once, I went to the pre-season friendly with Cov and had to leave at the end of the first half to get to a darts match and the officious tw*t wouldn't let me out until 15 minutes before the end saying the police wouldn't allow it. What a pillock, it was a friendly, there was nobody about outside and I'm hardly likely to go down the Cov end a start a fight on my own. No need for it and I missed my match and couldn't play Really wish I could say I was shocked at that but it was pretty normal in that section.
Len Finsbury Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Cliff Ginetta is, and will always be, a chump. As soon as the media need a 'supporter's view' of something at the club, out he comes from under his bridge and apparently speaks on our behalf. It's about time the media, especially the local hacks, realise that he represents no one anymore.

I hear Qatar's looking for able-bodied men to help them build for the World Cup...
Rob1742 Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 The Supporters Club was good in its day. You could get a cheap season ticket, and you could choose to stand, or sit at the front of their own enclosure. Had a few great seasons in there, a proper bar area, and a safe place to watch a match, at a time when safe places were few and far between. The bar was open most nights, so you could go to the ground and in you would pop, have a drink within the ground. Also, they had a shop, so you could pick up the programmes from the away games you missed and their away travel again was the safest option. A membership card and a great pin badge, at a time when these things actually meant something. You were part of the LCFC Supporters Club, and you were proud of it. Times change though, and many on here would think it odd that getting hold of an away programme was actually very hard if you didn't go to the game. Also, pin badges and membership cards don't carry and worth these days, and it is safe to travel in any format now. So basically the world has changed and what they used to offer is now no longer important. So I won't have a go at the Ginnetas, they did provide a great service and the supporters club was a good set up in its day (30 years ago) It's just it is now probably 25 years past its sell by date. It's like the working mens club, hanging on by the skin of its teeth. Once Cliff passes, the Supporters Club will be gone, no reason for its excistence anymore. I have just looked at their website, there isn't any benefits to join, the club and football in general can offer what they used to provide. Just on Cliffs coments. Difficult for him I suppose. His comments don't mean anything to anyone these days, but lazy journalists will ask for a view when they are searching for something for the papers. I suppose he has to give a comment, else people will question his excistence. So you are right, it is pointless, and Cliffs comments are pointless. But there was a time in the past it was a great little club. Just like the working mans club was.
