C-man Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 you people really need to get a ****ing grip, paying customers have the right to voice their opinions. he was bang out of order and unproffesional. That's great to know wazza. Next time the train is late I assume I am free to call the driver every name under the sun because I am a paying customer. Sounds legit.
dogadug Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 L1wazza and kingfox the only 2 in defence of the fan, what a surprise....
4ever and ever Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Im really surprised why anyone is surprised by this. The FA govern all players and managers within football and therefore have to clamp down on what Pearson has done. It is completely unprofessional to react and use the words he has. Yes the fan has behaved poorly because he is clearly goading Pearson and looking for a response and got exactly that but if I told a customer to "**** off and die" in response to them calling me a "Twat" I would expect to be sacked. Paying money doesn't give them the right to abuse people but once they have the person who is actually working needs to act professionally and report the issue and the fan would have been ejected. Pearson didnt, simple as that.
Charl91 Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 you people really need to get a ****ing grip, paying customers have the right to voice their opinions. he was bang out of order and unproffesional. Haha, please tell me you're trolling.
MPH Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 you people really need to get a ****ing grip, paying customers have the right to voice their opinions. he was bang out of order and unproffesional. Yeah, lets just given them the right to throw a few apples whilst they are at it...
Stuliasz Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Would a touchline ban mean he couldn't communicate directly with the staff on the touchline like he does at the moment?
4ever and ever Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Would a touchline ban mean he couldn't communicate directly with the staff on the touchline like he does at the moment? Yep, think he would have to sit on his own as well and not have Steve Walsh next to him
skmanuk Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 This is really simple. In any walk of life if you are a senior member of the companies management team you need to behave with respect towards others no matter what the provocation. To do any less is an error of judgement and indicative of a lack of control and sound decision making. What makes this doubly worse in terms of the lack of judgement is that he knows he is under pressure (rightly or wrongly) and he has gifted the powers that be a cast iron reason to be fired with no compensation. This elevates his actions from poor judgement to complete stupidity. Coupled with the refusal to talk to RL it is all very childish and demeaning for a Premier League club. There's a certain lack of maturity and common sense in this threads posts so far. Perhaps you all sit back and take a more balanced view. It may well be that this is indicative of his poor general decision making at the moment, something he is being criticised for in many threads at the moment.
jammie82uk Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 and the shit head who actually videoed it and posted it all over twitter needs banning What makes me laugh about the video is how the timing is almost perfect, of all the 6 seconds to record they managed to get Pearson swearing, Surely there has to be more to the video doubt we will ever see it tho
skmanuk Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 L1wazza and kingfox the only 2 in defence of the fan, what a surprise.... I don't think anyone is defending the fan. Regardless of who the fan is or what they are alleged to have said, Pearson was just plain stupid to respond. Not a class act at all.
cityfanlee23 Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Twat is nothing compared to Fvck off & die, fans shout much worse towards players of all teams & probably don't get a stadium ban, why should this guy get a stadium ban for shouting "twat". I can remember when Megson had endless abuse shouted at him, much worse than twat and he just took it and didn't respond. Pearson should know better. Apparently the abuse abuse had been going on a while before the video started
MPH Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 I don't think anyone is defending the fan. Regardless of who the fan is or what they are alleged to have said, Pearson was just plain stupid to respond. Not a class act at all. Thats easy for us to say. I mean.... put yourself in Nigel's shoes.. Not a single one of us can ever claim to of been put in that position and that makes it wrather difficult for us to be so damning in our judgment- i think very few of us will of ever had the level of responsibility/ expectation ( rightly or wrongly) placed on our shoulders. In the most stressful of situations we will ALL rerspond. Nigel was no doubt upset and frustrated... and to have someone screaming abuse at you when you are so then one sentance containing ONE swear word is wrather mild to what some others would say. Should he of said/ done what he did? Probably not. harsh to call him stupid and not a class act? I'd say so
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 just parade the twat around the pitch before a game. let the crowd see his face Here's the twats face for you. Serves him right for responding the way he did. It showed a severe lack of self control, in public. Now parade him round the pitch!

I'd say so And when it does happen its normally the beginning of the end.. Gerald Ratner Dave Whelan Gordon Brown As for stupid, if you are a senior manager at a public facing company with your job under serious threat for non performance and you abuse one of your customers...go figure etc etc
cityfanlee23 Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 You'd put your life on him waiting until 5.50pm on the 16th to reply

ARTY_FOX Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Oh come on, you can't say you've never snapped back at someone you shouldn't have at some point in your life.
skmanuk Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 You'd put your life on him waiting until 5.50pm on the 16th to reply Why would he do that?
Corky Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Well it gives the opportunity for all those to now abuse the manager in the knowledge he can't respond. Football supporters are the worst for shouting abuse, singing abusive songs yet at soon as someone looks at them in a funny way get all pissy and offended. Grow a pair or don't dish it out.
skmanuk Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Oh come on, you can't say you've never snapped back at someone you shouldn't have at some point in your life. You're right, but most of us are not in his position, unfortunately with fame and wealth comes responsibility!
Corky Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 you people really need to get a ****ing grip, paying customers have the right to voice their opinions. he was bang out of order and unproffesional. I take it you've never sworn or been abusive towards a fellow fan? I mean. they are paying customers after all and deserve to be treated with respect.
4ever and ever Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 Oh come on, you can't say you've never snapped back at someone you shouldn't have at some point in your life. Of course we all have, probably more our private life than anything else, but how many people have used language like that in the work place to a customer and stayed in their job, that would be a better question? I am in no way condoning the fan because he has clearly set out to do this and goading but you cannot when you are in the position that Pearson is use that sort of language.
C-man Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 This incident just adds to the NP legend in my eyes. Hero.
4ever and ever Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 I take it you've never sworn or been abusive towards a fellow fan? I mean. they are paying customers after all and deserve to be treated with respect. That is a completely irrelevant point. A fellow fan isn't a customer of ours and also we are not at work!
skmanuk Posted 11 December 2014 Posted 11 December 2014 I take it you've never sworn or been abusive towards a fellow fan? I mean. they are paying customers after all and deserve to be treated with respect. You really are missing the point, if you can't grasp the difference between a paying visitor and a senior officer of the company then I guess were wasting our time
