Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson charged by The FA

'stick with pearson even if he sends us down' mentality of others. absolute blind faith with no ambition.

I see what you're advocating, if the team goes on a bad run sack the manager, with that in mind maybe we could get Mandaric back,

he was most proficient at that style of running a club.

Also back to league 1 for us.    :xmaslaugh:

The fa has decided that Pearson should be punished, I'm not going to defend either, but if one is punished, then both should.

The FA are a joke in my eyes, hope it's a touchline ban anyway he'll just sit there laughing.

Cannot believe some of the 'fans' on here want the fan to be banned, some for life, and see the comments from Pearson as acceptable and go unpunished.

Well yeah, people want to see the instigator punished, not the bloke who suffered the abuse. If Pearson started the altercation then I'm sure you'd see a different reaction on here.

Yes Nige made a mistake. Would I bite if someone called me a twat? Yes I probably would.

No need for the £80,000 watch loving FA to get involved.

And sure make your point about wanting Pearson out Wazza, just respect that there are others who feel differently to you

What have I said, both crossed the line, both face the consequence.

So the fan called him and twat and Pearson bit, and said something vile in retaliation, the fan didn't put the words in Pearsons mouth, both as bad in my eyes, and neither of their behaviours were right.

Doesn't matter wether Pearson started it or not, Pearson is employed to be professional in his conduct and football management, and in an ideal world should not have reacted, especially with the vile comment he used, but being human, and the pressure he's under, he did, and can have no arguments about the outcome of whatever the fa decide.

None of this is good news. It brings him into disrepute and generally with the bad publicity it is simply not good for anyone, fans, player, club alike. No winners in this one. Could he could possibly be sacked by the club for misconduct?

I'll keep it brief, it's a passionate game and at times things get a little heated both on and off the pitch. That's part of why it's such a great game.

This is the most high profile league in the world. There is no way in hell the FA were going to ignore a manager telling a fan to **** off and die.

Are you really comparing a football stadium to a bank or shop? If you are, you're a moron. And if this man is to be banned for calling Pearson a ****ing twat, surely by this logic all of the fans that participate in the "ooooo you're shit" when the keeper takes a goal kick should be banned as well?

I would be careful who you go round calling a moron!!!!

Does anyone else think that there's been an FA/Premier League conspiracy against us since we beat Man United?

Obviously the media and all the football authorities want Man United to win all the time, they have done for years. Hence the dubiously one-sided refereeing, penalty stats, injury time etc etc during the Fergie years. Helpful fixture lists, blind eyes turned to the odd bit of cheating, you name it the FA have helped Man United do it to win things.

We get one dodgy decision against them and end up humiliating their Golden Boys, and look what has happened since. Red cards being given out for no reason, awful refereeing consistently to our detriment, penalties not being given, Schmeichel (a Man United fan) being utter dog muck since then and now mysteriously getting injured out of nowhere ahead of the busy Xmas period. Now this. They'd have charged him whatever had happened.

That 'fan' who abused Pearson hasn't come forward or been identified. He was clearly an undercover FA agent working to bring all this shit to our door.

We can't fight relegation, the authorities have decided it's going to happen.

I wouldn't even ban the fan, I wonder how many Newcastle fans shouted worse towards Pardew earlier this season, and haven't been banned for their abusive language towards him. Same can be said about Arsenal fans towards Wenger, should they be banned for wanting him out and shouting abuse at him?

No they shouldn't, it's all part of the game, but if you are that worked up go and write a pathetic petition, asking for the fan to be banned.

Having watched the video I think the fan ought to be banned from the ground. There is no place for that sort of personal abuse in any social or professional environment.

I'm not surprised that it provoked that sort of reaction from Pearson in what would already be a high pressure and emotionally charged situation.

People need to realise when they're nowhere near qualified enough to pass judgement on the work other people are doing.

Here's the twats face for you.  :pearson:  Serves him right for responding the way he did. It showed a severe lack of self control, in public. Now parade him round the pitch!

lol

We did parade him around the pitch a few months ago.

He was the one carrying the big silver trophy if you missed him.

This is a load of rubbish and is the problem in football itself, would you go into a bank airport, or shop and shout you are a ****ing twat? No you would not and would most probably be arrested for abusive behaviour

If you have ever worked in/for a bank you would know that being called a ****ing twat is a daily occurrence. In fact, if a day passes where I don't get called one I feel paranoid.

We should all email the FA.

Free the Leicester One Nigel is innocent.

Show some support for Nige over a moronic fan.

The only moronic stuff on here is stupid posts like this

I suspect NP wishes he had not responded as he did. Its not what managers do, they should ignore it. It goes with the territory. Having said that, I'm sure his response was borne out sheer frustration and anger. Totally human frailties that we all display at some time or other. This is no 'crime' tobe punished, rather an unfortunate loss of control that did not really do the abusive fan any harm. We have bigger problems in football, this ain't worth the ink.
