L1wazza Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 anyone know of any decent clubs/bars around the area, or just in london in general. looking for somewhere decent but also where we dont have to pay a tenner for a pint. cheers.
ClaphamFox Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 I wouldn't risk any pubs too near the ground if I were you. Best to drink somewhere else and commute in and out.
ClaybrookeFox Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 I wouldn't go to any pubs near the ground as it's probably 'home fans only', your best bet is probably to explore near the markets
separator Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 Plenty of bars in the Hoxton / Shoreditch area of East London, easy to get between there and Upton Park on the tube & Overground
L1wazza Posted 12 December 2014 Author Posted 12 December 2014 cheers, but i meant clubs and bars for a night out, anyone now of any?

Marmite Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 We always go into Leicester Square for the London games and catch a tube to West Ham. You do not want to be drinking in the local pubs

Leicesterpool Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 We always go into Leicester Square for the London games and catch a tube to West Ham. You do not want to be drinking in the local pubs Same here it's alot safer than drinking near the ground.
Karljohn Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 Soho area is ok for evening bars. Especially if you want to pay £6 for a pint of piss.
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 Go down to South of the River..start in some lovely boozers on the Thames Bank (near the Cutty Sark) then make your way nearer the ground.
Bert Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 Ain't East Ham the better station to get off at?

separator Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 Ain't East Ham the better station to get off at? Upton Park is the closest
AnotherShitSeason Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 Same here it's alot safer than drinking near the ground. Listen to you all. Don't go here. Don't go there. Get a grip. Pathetic.
Jakemoore Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Shoreditch is amazing night out!! I live not far from East London, and it's buzzing!
Rich Fox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Going back to Plaistow tube instead of Upton park after as its so busy. Drinking in Holborn before I think, easy journey to ground
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Can we make this a party altmosphere? Sod the result lets just sing for 90 mins, it's Christmas after all. COYBSSSSSSSSSS
fuchsntf Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Went to local pubs, even in the 70s.No fan paraphernalia Always said working locally, from kings lynn.Wanting to watch the hammers. 9 games seen at upton park (boleyn ground)1 uncomfortable moment, well actually caught up in a rumble between Millwall and hammer fans, lion fans came to hammers looking for trouble. Went to 1 night game mentioning I was a city fan, went to the stadium with 10 hammer fans.who I met in the pub. Had A great day and night out, with 4 of them.No I wasnt naive, just didnt go around ranting. Though I suppose todays rules, and pub name changes it might be more difficult. went in the area 3 years ago on a non match day, Barking road is a good bet for refreshments. The Central suppose to be ok for away fans, and not far away the Green gate.
