ADK Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 Last season the bottom 2 (Sunderland and West Ham) at this point managed to avoid relegation, although they had more points at this stage (13 and 14), the points they got from the next 20 would have seen them stay up even if they had been on only 10. Crystal Palace also managed to find form in the second half and went from just outside the bottom 3 to being quite comfortable. Therefore it is not over yet as our latest performances have been decent and the transfer window presents an opportunity to strengthen.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 I will maintain we are not far away from being a functional side that can pick up points. If we were five points of the play offs in the Championship would people be saying it is impossible to get there and it's season over? I think not. Grow some balls you lot, the shitty times now will make it sweeter when we send QPR down on the last day of the season.
Tuna Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We are down, and frankly these threads are getting embarrassing.
Benji Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 We are down, and frankly these threads are getting embarrassing. When there are more games left than have been played, I'd tend to think comments like that are more embarrassing. Beat Hull and Palace/Burnley lose we are 3 points from the drop with half of the games remaining. How on earth can you say we're down? Pick up as many points as we have been doing and we will be, but we have no idea what will happen.
weller54 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Blind Faith I'm afraid!.. Our slim hopes of survival rely on signing some QUALITY players in January.. Like who???... Can't see anyone we NEED wanting to come to a team marooned at the bottom of the table with TEN stinking points!!... Face it.. We're down!!
The Blue Moon Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 We are down, and frankly these threads are getting embarrassing. Couldn't agree more. Why are mods closing down other threads and leaving us with this drivel?
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 I think for most a defeat at Hull will convince many we are down, I think we can win there, get some confidence and sneak a draw at Anfield, then bring on Stoke and Villa at home. Simples!
Fox92 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Of course it's not over yet, if we beat Hull then beat Stoke and Villa in the new year we give ourselves a chance of survival. However, as always, it's easier said than done. If we lose tomorrow I think all my hope will be gone. Likewise, we need to get something out of the Stoke and Villa home games.
Raj Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 We are down, and frankly these threads are getting embarrassing.Iexactly. Some people are very idiot and need to wake up. You try and put a positive spin how you want. Here is the one and only fact that is needed- We have lost 13 games IN A ROW. Thats 0 points from 36...NOW do you lot understand?
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Our run is horrendous and its hard to see how we can put any sort of positive run together but we really aren't a million miles away. 3 of the next 4 games will make it or break it for me....
Raj Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Many including me have said we aren't a million miles away from.being a team that can win games...just feel we will still be saying this in March when its all over....
Stevosevic Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Need to win games, simple as that. If we are still winless after Stoke at home, that's it I'm afraid.

weller54 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 We needed something from the Spurs game.. Hull winning also IS the final nail in the coffin!!!.. Happy New Year!!
Captain... Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 We are down, and frankly these threads are getting embarrassing. Not as embarrassing as your post, we ain't down until there is a red R next to our name. Still have over half the season left and a transfer window to improve. Do you leave films half way through when the good guy is captured by the baddies, muttering about how James Bond is an embarrassment to England and how he's already dead.
chapero82 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 if we get the right signings in we will be ok, as you say we are not a million miles away, but what worries me is that we have no Jeff, and no Mahrez, with jef that means no cover for LB or LM too how was this not addressed in the summer I will never know
