GingerrrFox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Only coz he was waiting to see if france were interested in him , he was born in france , he chose Algeria , they had been begging him for 2 years to committ Just thank god leicester got him before the others jumped on him , plenty were watching , city acted , the chap they use in france has pearson's and boards trust un capped Scottish players is gambling , Shaun Maloney is gambling Why gamble ? We have cash , so buy quality for now and in summer to do some long term shopping You are talking absolute shite, Mahrez was waiting to see if France wanted him? He was playing amateur football for Quimper 4 seasons ago. So what he thought hang on I might get a call up over Ribery, Griezmann, Nasri etc here. Don't think so. Algeria didn't have a clue about Mahrez until he moved to us, the national manager at the time said as much, that he came onto their radar out of nowhere. The club weren't even looking at Mahrez, Steve Walsh went to watch a cup match at Le Harve whilst tracking another player and Mahrez had a quality game. Steve followed him from there and they acted quickly when they found out his contract expired that summer. He was very much an unknown quantity. As for they trusted their man in France. We don't have a man in France. The technical scouting department use computer software which enables them to watch games from essentially every league in professional football, all from the comfort of the training ground. Once they identify players with potential that is when they dig deeper and start to see players live. Stuart Armstrong looks a very promising player, in a position that we need more quality. He has all the attributes to succeed at the next level. He is the type of player that our club looks to sign and make better. He looks like he would be a very good addition.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 The fact he's 22 and hasn't even made an appearance for Scotland yet says a lot. Anybody with even half an eye on the SPL will tell you he's a very, very good player.
kingfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Kingfox said we shouldn't sign black strikers because they never play well for us. I've since stopped paying attention to anything Kingfox says. Our record since the Ferdinand days has been atrocious, Yakubu being the only good one I can think of. De Vies, Hammond, Glombard, Campbell, Cort don't think I need to go on.

kingfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 But that's cos they are shit not cos they is black. It's just a coincidence, and I don't mean it in a racist way, the pattern is there for all to see.
Strokes Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 But that's cos they are shit not cos they is black. , during that period all of our strikers were shit.
The Doctor Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 It's just a coincidence, and I don't mean it in a racist way, the pattern is there for all to see. The pattern is poor teams have poor strikers - suggesting their race has anything to do with them being poor is racist, you pointless tool.
kingfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 The pattern is poor teams have poor strikers - suggesting their race has anything to do with them being poor is racist, you pointless tool. Poor teams have poor strikers yet Connolly, Hume and Fryatt were alright.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Don't forget that this is the same KF who said that Drinkwater was basically shite. Which, lets be honest, was basically shite.

Well said, and I agree 100%. People who condemn footballers, simply because they play the game in Scotland, are just plain stupid.
The Doctor Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Poor teams have poor strikers yet Connolly, Hume and Fryatt were alright. Were they? Connolly was poor for the first half of the season, hit a purple patch and got a move pretty much straight after that, doing nothing afterwards. Hume was fairly average in our side, worked hard but not a goal scorer. Fryatt had a purple patch when he first arrived, then did nothing unti we went down - he was good when we were good relative to the rest of the league, but in a poor tea he was a poor striker.
Buzzell Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 It's just a coincidence, and I don't mean it in a racist way, the pattern is there for all to see. Racist bastard

He was advised by his advisors to think long and hard about staying available for france , very young and as we have seen Could be a real star , same advisor who try and keep him off the black jack tables in town (pop in and have a chat with him/them) He declared for Algeria in 2013 quite a while before he ever even knew where leicester was , tut tut simple research and you would have found that noddy They do use software but they also have a local French scout who actually looks at nominated targets Fack me it's not FIFA 15 we are playing !!!!

GaelicFox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 I think Nigel will have done his homework,he doesn't need bullshit like that to make his mind up Same homework that has a team at bottom of league , lacking quality all over place Sorry but it's true I know that's not all his fault , but he has some responsibility for that squad You could probably buy That whole club for £4m never mind the "star player"

Yep. Sure pal.
GaelicFox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Ok the whole club is worth £5m , if you could find someone willing to buy it Just out of interest how old are you? 52
GaelicFox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Dundee United Average home league attendance 7,599 That's about the top of the FOURTH tier of English football !!! And they want £4m for the "star player" Do you get the car park and training ground with that ?

They will have there estimation, other clubs will have there's,Nigel will offer what he thinks is fair or underneath what they think, then it will come down how desperate they are.
Guest Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 If you had a number of Prem clubs interested in a player would you set a price of £500k? Dimwit.
GaelicFox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 If you had a number of Prem clubs interested in a player would you set a price of £500k? Dimwit. What other teams ??? No one has made a move including teams that have done business with them All looks like dundee united will be caught speeding on the price and be stuck with him I hope at that fee
Tuna Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 I've never heard of him, so we don't want him, period. Scottish football, tut tut.
