Kramaric Signed Sealed and Delivered Ready for the Oaties

What i believe will happen is he will sign for chelsea in the summer. If we stay up, he will sign on loan for the season next season. If not, he will be loaned out elsewhere. Ive thought all along this is to bypass the rule which says you can't sign a player and then loan him to a fellow PL team in the same window. Said this many times already but its just what i think. Obviously not in the know

Why not just agree a 6 months contract then?

Because that would look very fishy and would not protect the player. He has a 5 mill euro contract which has to be paid up by someone, whatever happens (us at the moment).

Promising and encouraging - providing we produce the right kind of service.

Crucial...

If we now go out and sign a quality attacking midfielder to feed him, I'll be even more excited!

Sounds like Maloney is the prime target... whether people see him as quality seems to be a contentious issue!

Is it possible for us to play three upfront with Kramaric playing behind Vardy and Ulloa, almost like an AM. It has been said by our Croatian friends that he does like to come deep - or did I make that up? I am just asking because I don't know. Alternatively, we could look for a DM and let Cambiasso roam, without the demands of tracking back (which is your biggest crit of him).

Surely Chelsea wouldve had to of contributed to some of the fee if there are stipulations in the contract that relate them favorably?

Im very happy this deal has gone through, I love the potential this lad has and if he plays anything like has has in and for Croatia we have a gem. The only worry in my mind goes back a few years ago when Blackburn picked up a highly rated, young Croatian striker; 'Kalinic', any of you friendly Croatians know what happened with him?

All the best to Rijeka in the future :thumbup:

Kalinic was not nearly as good as Kramaric is now, dont worry.. He is far more quick and agile, better tehnique.. Its like you try to compare Nicklas Bendtner and Sergio Aguero..

Tripe there seems to be a lot of jealousy about this deal towards your club from Zagreb and Split is the media in your county favorable towards them two clubs over yours?

Wheres all this chelsea stuff come from..... I get they were after him but that deal seems to have failed for whatever reason so i very much doubt chelsea would have any say in his future

I would be surprised if Chelsea did have a say, we might have a release clause in his contract though if we are relegated but any club would be able to activate it

Obviously nobody knows the finer details of the contract, so all of this is speculation. The logical guess would be, considering Chelsea have been mentioned so much...

Leicester player - Relegation - Chelsea have first refusal

                          - Survival - Leicester player and end of clause

The Chelsea clause is obviously at the request of the dad/agent and delays is because of this and reportedly the permit.

Did I see somewhere it mentioned if we go down then Chelsea have the right to buy him out of his contract. If he's going to be on £1.5m a season then I guess they'd get him for £4.5m?

Also it won't be Chelsea that have had a say, it will be his agent/representatives who will have said they want that.

someone spoke about kalinic, that guy was  reely low quality,  he was Croatian striker so ofc news  was saying he was talent bla bla, but in HNL( Croatian ligue) he was a joke no wonder how he failed in EPL, Jelavic from Hull is also low quality striker but he at least tries to be beter unlike clown Kalinic, Kramaric will need time to adopt to EPL for sure but when he does, only stars will be his limit mark my words!

I think the Chelsea thing is just speculation. IF there is anything in it I'd imagine that maybe there was a Gentleman's agreement whereby Chelsea agreed not to gazump our offer and left the way clear for us on the condition they get first refusal in the future. It's not impossible that the lad just didn't fancy rotting away in Arnhem. Our owners aren't daft though, at worst I'd imagine they've put in a clause that means Chelsea have to match at least what we've paid out so we don't make a loss.

I can answer you that... 50% of croatia is for DInamo, 40% for Hajduk, we are third with 4% and a truly local club, so only the local media is objective... the others find all of this hard to believe, plus a lot of the media (and other things) is controlled by the dinamo boss - mamic. we were always a smaller club as i mentioned before and got a new owner 2 years ago, who invested in our club (new stadium and training grounds...) and people find hard to believe that someone would invest his money without any interest of getting it back,  so the general idea in Croatia is that the story of Rijeka must be some kind of conspiracy ;)
