Unabomber Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I have been unfortunate enough to stand in the kop for the last few years and before I start don't give me the whole "move then you ****". But why why why do they refuse to join in with any chant? Does my ****ing head in, every ****ing week. I get exasperated, every week it makes me so sad. Why not join in and try to create some sort of an atmosphere? I love what sk1 are doing and will prob be there next season if they are still bothering. But man the kop so embarrassing.

Unabomber Posted 17 January 2015 Author Posted 17 January 2015 They don't want to? Yeah but they should want to imo, hello this is the kop
m4DD0gg Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 The age of loud prolonged singing in home football stadiums especially the B&Q flat pack premiership ones like ours are long gone. Yes you get the occasional song but on the whole its gone from the game.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Singing makes players turn into Eusebio.
sdb Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 It's a quiet place alright. Always amazed to see people just sit quietly and take it in. Most only make noise if it's to bemoan something.
cityfanlee23 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Yeah but they should want to imo, hello this is the kop It's frustrating really, The "Kop" for almost every club is the heart and soul of the club, where the atmosphere comes from, yet here it's usually the quietest area of the ground
Foxylady64 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 A football match without singing isn't worth going to
Dan Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 The atmosphere today was absolutely woeful. Even SK1 was well below par in my opinion. Never helps when hardly anyone else joins in. You get the odd clap along but it's nowhere near enough.

Get yourself over here next game. We'll make room.
Larry_LCFC Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Comes with being such a "family orientated and child focused" club. The Kop is full of young kids who obviously wont sing, as are the surrounding areas. Seemed to be more than usual today.
Dan Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 People can do what they ****ing want. Shut up you prat. Sorry, just doing as I ****ing want. Comes with being such a "family orientated and child focused" club. The Kop is full of young kids who obviously wont sing, as are the surrounding areas. Seemed to be more than usual today. That's just the mentality kids are poisoned with nowadays. There's no focus what so ever on atmosphere. They know no better.

There's no focus what so ever on atmosphere. They know no better. It doesn't help when parents let them sit there playing on Ipads etc instead of watching the game. It just indicates that they really don't want to be there and have been dragged along because their dad wanted to go. It really is gap filling which will never help the atmosphere in the slightest.
Karljohn Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Singing has pretty much finished everywhere, the famous kop at Liverpool can barely rustle up a song now. Its gone like Rugby.
Bamba's Babes Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 The 'kop' is awful. Full of middle aged men that have retired from singing and now just take in the 'atmosphere'
lgfualol Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 People are just self conscious. I was once at the KP and a bunch of lads bigger than me laughed at my haute-contre tone. I never sang again
