Benjani Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Ever since super wes morgan opened his tattoo shop hes been utter dross.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Ever since super wes morgan opened his tattoo shop hes been utter dross. Thanks for clearing that up.....
Merchant Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Strong correlation between that and going from the Championship to the Prem
Pearson Nigel Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 A lovely chap as Super Wes is Class act in Championship last season, but struggled physically and technically this season. In the premiership... What do we do drop him?
Matt Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Yes. I questioned his captaincy earlier in the season at that point we it wasn't a case of dropping him as much though, but now he's got to be dropped, without scapegoating him he must have lost us so many points/games this season you could argue his mistakes alone will be a major factor of us getting relegated.
psychonaut Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 he's cost us goal after goal after goal. Why was wasalewski dropped? We all knew Morgan should be the player to make way if Huth came in. Why didnt Pearson?
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Becoming impossible to make a case for him. we have better players in his position, captain or not, there's no room for sentiment.
Richmondfox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Another game where he has been at fault for the goal. Several own goals, desperate decision making and constant poor choices yet still plays. I don't buy dropping the caption will be bad for the dressing room and sends out the wrong message, being at the bottom of the table and losing games because of his constant mistakes is a lot worse. If he was any sort of leader he would step aside for the team. Before the start of this season I never thought i'd be saying that I don't want him anywhere near the squad.
Father Ted Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Yes. The difference in class was visible for all to see with him next to Upson and Huth last night. Not only in defending terms, but in the way that Wes can't kick a football.
FOXES-BROWNBOY Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Was was playing much better than Wes, but Pearson would never drop his captain , he is too loyal to his love children ( Nugent Vardy Konchesky Morgan) and they have just not been goo enough. Drop Morgan next match, Huth and Was for me

Not only in defending terms, but in the way that Wes can't kick a football. 100% true Morgan's inability to stay switched on, look / find a pass was Championship level at best. Regardless of leadership, which it seems like he doesn't have, we can't afford to keep playing him, he's a liability and we keep losing games because of it. Huth + Wasyl need to form a partnership in the league. For me the armband goes to Cambiasso, not only because he is a natural beauty of a player, but he's strong emotionally to the team, and does lead. It would be a final last accomplishment for him.

Wholly agree with this. Good post.
Fox92 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Said when we signed Huth I'd like to see him [Huth] alongside a fit Upson if we're playing a four.

Not dropping him in spite of his costly blunders sends quite nasty message, actually. The message that sounds: it's not important how hard you work, or how good you are on the pitch. Only thing that matters is how deep you've managed to stick your head in manager's arse. That's some morals uplifting stuff, no?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Said when we signed Huth I'd like to see him [Huth] alongside a fit Upson if we're playing a four. Me too! I reckon that would put more steel in us.

I don't understand how he can constantly play when he is at fault for a lot of goals this season, surely it is something they address when the team go over the goals conceded in training.
woddyuk Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Almost every player has cocked up this season resulting in a goal against us, or a miss up the other end so We don't need a Wes Morgan witch hunt, but it Wasn't so long ago that Stephen Clemence and Matt Oakley were "dropped" when they were captain so it can happen. Huth and Was in the middle maybe? But you'd have to make the game over 18s certificate only,, .. Personally I blame Wellans

biggs Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 With the players we have available, I don't see how Pearson has any other choice than to drop Wes on his current performance. He's been given the chance to sort it out and no doubt he's working hard, but right now his poor play is costing us games and we cannot afford the risk. We don't need other defenders compensating their play to cover Morgan as this will backfire too. Captain or not, he has to be dropped and if results turn around because of this then Pearson will have to stand by what's working.
Pearson Nigel Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 If WES IS not dropped Nigel will possibly pay price with being sacked.... then Possibly sacked........sacked again........ Not sacked .......possibly sacked some more........then definately not sacked ..........then .officially stated he is SACKED....... All too much Nigel........so just drop Wes ...... He needs a break......hey and so do we! See you at the VILLANS Sunday!! Sh*t on the Villa....sh*t on the Villa.. tonight...........sh*t on the Villa .................
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 I'm not for condemning players or 'it's all his fault, why isn't he being dropped' type talk. But Wes has been making some really basic errors in the last few months, and it appears we have stronger options in his position a.k.a its his fault drop him.
