jonthefox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Great signing. Happy to see us picking up talented youngsters. I do not understand a whole heap of posts in this thread. They are made by people who don't understand business or football. So, we are not supposed to sign players who don't go straight into the team or look to develop our youth because that is.... actually, I cannot even complete that sentence because I genuinely do not get what the objection is. Stupid upid people. Do you let the window go by, pass up a good opportunity, let another team buy a talented youngster because.... What? Still not getting it.. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. These signing happen all the time. Relax. Irony?.
sdb Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Good stuff. Also, re: Hooper, my scunny supporting mate says he's looking really good. Quick, strong, hardworking and a good finisher scoring goals off scraps. Deffo got a chance if we're in the Champo next season.
Renart Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Irony?. Ha ha. You thought that was a mistake? Classic. Irony has now been taken to a different level. Let us just leave it there.
jonthefox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Ha ha. You thought that was a mistake? Classic. Irony has now been taken to a different level. Let us just leave it there. So what exactly is a stupid upid person?.
Renart Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 It is something that my 8 year old niece says about her older brother when he is acting like a 'nobber'! I can also tell you what the word 'nobber' means but I guess you can understand the level we are working at. 'Silly people' is something else she might say. It isn't worth actually insulting them because, well, they are not really operating at a level where it is worth taking them seriously. The urban dictionary has it, although, they spell it differently but then again it isn't a real word or a real dictionary. It is because it is nonsense that it works at the level it does. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=oopid Ha, never thought I would have to explain that. Brilliant.

And here was me thinking i was the idiot. Can i insult you with something my mum used to call me when i was three next time?.
Haydos Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 It matters to some fans as we've not much to cheer about at the minute (being bottom, fans fighting amongst themselves blah blah). Tonight people were looking for a boost and its not come. Surely thats not too difficult to understand or appreciate? You dont have to try and set everyone straight about everything all of the time. Sometimes if you dont agree, just have a little consideration as to what people might be feeling and just leave it. Dont throw insults about people 'standing with their dicks in their hands' or 'speaking caveman'. You really let yourself down when you post sometimes. How's he supposed to respond to people when you've got morons thinking this deal somehow affects our other plans. If there's nobody else down at the stadium (or wherever the signings are finalised) then what's the big deal? It's not defending the lack of first-team transfer activity, it's pointing out there's some people on here being really thick about this and again using it to criticise Pearson. If that's to be done, fair enough but it's so obvious the people here with a chip on their shoulder it's not even funny.
dogadug Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Some of the crap being spouted on here is ridiculous! Pearson has done good business compared to the other clubs around us. Only criticism which I think is fair on NP is failing to strengthen at LB - but I'm happy overall. And to the people laughing and mocking this signing + using it to criticize , I hope this guy does well and makes it into the 1st team in the future to shut you all up.
Dan Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 I think some of our fans genuinely believe a left back wasn't signed because of this deal.
Soar Fox Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 I think some of our fans genuinely believe a left back wasn't signed because of this deal. I can't believe there's not a better left back in the world than Paul Konchesky who would be willing to join us.
tickler28 Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Leicester to Aberdeen undisclosed. 4th signing but can't find out much about him...any clues??
Guest seanfox778 Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 I noticed this on SSN, no idea about him. Probably one of those players that will play in the reserves for 2 years then released to a League 1/2 club. Unless he's some secret football prodigy.
volpeazzurro Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 You think this deal would actually stop us from signing someone else in? Come off it, people need to use a bit of common sense. The deal could have been on the card for weeks or months and if there was something imminent for the first team the club aren't idiots, they would put this to one side for that. Absolutely agree Babylon, this is just an extra peice of business aside from first team business. I for one am happy that our scouts eyes are everywhere for both now and the future. Good luck to the young lad he's one of ours now and needs to be made welcome not dismissed before he's even kicked a ball. NP and team have no doubt done the best they could re the first team and no doubt know what their weaknesses were. Whether they were able to address those weaknesses is a totally different ball game .
cityfanlee23 Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Sometimes I'm ashamed to support our club with shit like this... The poor lad has signed for a club in the premier league, a dream come true and you arseholes come on here being sarcastic like "oh a saviour" "Thank god thankyou so much" Fvck me some of you need to look yourselves in the mirror with these posts. It wouldn't surprise me if the lad is having a look at the leicester groups to see what's being said out of interest, what a morale boost knowing he's coming to hopefully play for this group of w4nkers. Give him a break ffs, I know that you aren't taking it out on the lad himself and that it's more frustration that we've signed a 17 year old in our current predicament. But would you rather us not develop for the future?? Or do you think Nigel has been sat in his office chair saying "it's ok washy this 17 year old will save us" Clearly the club have been looking at this lad and decided to get him in, whilst other targets have failed to materialize. But some of the absolute bvllshit I see posted on here in the most sarcastic manner just showed your true personality and integrity toward the club, absolutely cannot wait to get on the negative and Rush to the computer to type your poisonous endless dross to the club. Absolutely pathetic. Get a grip, no wonder no fvcker gets on with the fans... Kane, drinkwater, konchesky, Nigel to name a few who in the past couple of seasons have had spats with OUR OWN FANS, through constant abuse? Shameful support at times. The lad is 17 give him a chance. Or would you rather is scrap the development squad?? If not fvck off with your negative sarcastic posts trying to be funny and clever. Just makes you look a d1ckhead.
gerrytaggart Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 If Scotland had voted yes then this lad would have been a foreigner. And thats a fact.
Donut Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Who knows how this lad could develop? We wanted more immediate impact signings, but it didnt happen. Along the same lines, is the Mexican youngster still training with us?
Benji Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Being so young would Pearson even have that much to do with this? Surely scouts/development coaches and backroom staff would have sorted 99% of this...
Bamba's Babes Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Ben Chilwell to step up? We're not Southampton.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Leicester City have signed promising youngster Michael Kelly from Aberdeen. Leicester have confirmed the move which sees the talented 17-year-old join Leicester’s youth development programme. As well as impressing for Aberdeen Under-20s, Kelly has also appeared for Scotland at under-17 and under-16 levels. Leicester City Youth @FoxesYouthFollow SIGNING: #LCFC have signed 17 year old midfielder @michaelkellyy_ from Aberdeen U20s on professional terms. 7:14 PM - 2 Feb 2015 Good luck to the lad whilst he is a City player
ADK Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Wonder if there's an old topic on a Barca forum somewhere moaning at the signing of Messi.
Benji Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Wonder if there's an old topic on a Barca forum somewhere moaning at the signing of Messi. Cue comparisons between Kelly and Messi... Sometimes I'm ashamed to support our club with shit like this... etc. etc. Decent post considering you have an avatar more apt of a One Direction fan site.
RedSoxUK Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Looks like he's been gearing up for Leicester all of January with his re-tweets and follows - have no idea if he's any good, but in Rudkin we trust. Also says Aaron Hassall was given his FIFA clearance mid-January after 6 months of waiting from Airbus UK, completely forgot we had him. Good signing / news for the Dev
Matty Hamez Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Good to see the dev team bringing in exciting (or least slightly interesting) prospects. At the risk of bringing down a whole forum-worth of a rage on my own head.... Does anyone know anything about him? So far I've got 17 year old left sided player who's played for Scotland at some kind of youth level. He doesn't even have a wikipedia page! Has the world gone mad?
