Livid Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 No I want Leicester City to be successful, if it is with Nigel Pearson at the helm then fine, if not him someone else.
Leicester_Numan Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 While he's at Leicester yes, I'm not interested if he leaves and is successful elsewhere. The question should really have been Do you want Leicester to be successful under Nigel Pearson? That might have been a bit more revealing
buzzy Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I want Leicester City to be successful thats it . well said sadly a lot on this forum think its nigel pearson fc not leicester city fc.
foxfanazer Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 It's pretty obvious the question meant whilst he's at leicester
CKB Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 What a stupid question. Of course I do, firstly I like the bloke, but more importantly if he is successful it means we successful and doing well. Even if he does end up going I'll wish him the best and every success in the future after all he has done for us. It's like players I've slagged off over the years, I want them to do well, I'll slag them off but I want them to prove me wrong, I really do! I think the only player of note that has proved me wrong (well he did last season) is Vardy. At the moment I have got a huge issue with Nugent, abit of a hate campaign maybe, but it's for a reason, he's ****ing shit at the moment., but of course I want him to turn a corner, become good and be a success for us, whilst I'm slagging him off (and other players, but mainly him) it's more of a case of challenging him rather than slagging him off, I really do want him to prove me wrong, make me eat my words, be a success and the same goes for Pearson. Absolutely bloody spot on!
adamlcfcbevo85 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 There should be another thread of are you actually a Leicester City FC fan Or are you a Nigel Chokehold Pearson fan I'm sure some of these fans would still be happy in league 2 just as long pearson was in charge
lestajigs Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 There should be another thread of are you actually a Leicester City FC fan Or are you a Nigel Chokehold Pearson fan I'm sure some of these fans would still be happy in league 2 just as long pearson was in charge No there should be a poll Which one Liz McDonald or Sally Webster
Collibosher70 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 This is a very strange forum....of course I want leicester to do well who doesn't?..the strange thing is when posters put something remotely negative towards Pearson they get jumped on ( in a keyboard way ) I'm not trying to change people's opinions just expressing mine and I can see persons faults...I hope he turns it around and proves me wrong I really do
LcFc_Smiv Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 thats it . well said sadly a lot on this forum think its nigel pearson fc not leicester city fc. That's bollocks, whilst people who support the manager may go over the top in their praise, it's a nonsense remark to suggest fans would rather see NP succeed over the club. Pearson has done a fantastic job at this club before this season. The difference is not sharing a blind hatred towards a manager who has done a fairly respectable job. The fact is that sacking him would not guarantee us any more of a chance at survival and has a big risk of damaging the stability of the club that NP and his management have instilled at all levels. Staying up this season does not guarantee success, especially if we are to bring in a manager who may take us backwards in order to do so. The fact is if we do go down in Pearson we know we have a manager who has a great record of challenging in the league, a squad with a backbone who have been successful in that league. Our thoughts are not that NP must be kept on no matter what, more so that with everything we have seen with him so far (maybe not so much as of late) suggests he is a more appropriate long term answer to developing a stable and successful club, rather than bringing in a complete unknown.
George mcfly Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Not anymore,he keeps going down in my estimation.want rid as soon as possible.
Guest Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Well it appears I was wrong, some people put their hatred of the man above the success of their club.
FLINTHAMFC Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Since when was winning two league titles and reaching two end of season play offs in 4 years not deemed a success?
Deucalion Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I, of course, want LCFC to be successful regardless of who is the manager. I also suspect from here on in it will be best achieved without Pearson. I also want Pearson to be a success where ever he goes. I like his uncompromising attitude to the press, the fact he seems a little dangerous sometimes, the way he insists on hard work above all else. I also respect the fact he got us promoted from League One at the first attempt, came back to the club to finish the job after leaving for Hull and built a successful Championship team while restructuring the finances. I wanted him to be here for a long time and be our Brian Clough or Alex Ferguson. I don't think this is going to happen though.
George mcfly Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Well it appears I was wrong, some people put their hatred of the man above the success of their club. Vice versa with the love for the man.
George mcfly Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Since when was winning two league titles and reaching two end of season play offs in 4 years not deemed a success? Was a success but now his tactics are not good enough in the big pond.,and he's flailing around with his arm bands on.
walkerleeds Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 thats it . well said sadly a lot on this forum think its nigel pearson fc not leicester city fc. Er, excuse me. I want Leicester City to be successful WITH Nigel Pearson in charge- why on earth do they have to be two separate entities on this website?!
Monsell1976 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I voted yes, I don't rate him at this level, I find him arrogant and all this silly stuff with RL pretty childish, but whilst he's leicester's manager of course I want him to be a success. I want a manager that doesn't make me lose interest in going to matches every week, and a manager that can compete at the level we are playing at, and one that can win more than 4 games in 2 thirds of a season, if it's Pearson great but he's not succeeded this season. I'm guessing this thread is to see who hates Pearson as a person, to use it against those who want him gone, well I have well and truly had enough of Pearson this year, only because of results, excuses, and him not learning how to win in this league
David Hankey Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Of course I voted 'Yes', what fool wouldn't. But the question is not whether I want Pearson to be "successful" but Leicester City and particularly now they are in the Premiership. It shouldn't be personalised. The Club is far bigger than any one individual. I'm just so disappointed that all the hard work and endeavour of dragging ourselves out of League 1 and getting, eventually, through the Championship to reach the 'Promised Land' that it can all be thrown away in a jif. It's like watching the sand trickling through the egg-timer, slowly ebbing away and everyone seems powerless to do anything about it. I'm sure it wasn't in the owner's plans to be a 'One Season Wonder'!!
5waller5 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Daft poll...... Of course I want him to be successful - he's the Leicester Manager!!!!
Lasty Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Another poll: Do you care about City at all or do you just come on here for an argument? Hang on, scrap that. Might be a close one.
Guest bss9401 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Odd poll. I don't care for NP. I want Leicester City to be successful. If NP leads us to success then great.
MooseBreath Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I want him to be successful while he's Leicester manager. Couldn't care less about him the minute he leaves.
Dan Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Why are you talking like the season is over? Its early Feb. We have some tough games coming up, but a nice run in and are in the fifth round of the FA Cup having beaten 2 Premier League teams to get there. Hence "failing" rather than "failed". Unless something changes we're heading back down. I cannot see how anyone can think otherwise. That's not to say I've fully given up on him this season, but he doesn't half make it hard for himself.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I would want ANY manager to be successful. However if they are not, I would want a change. Who wouldn't?
