weller54 Posted 22 March 2015 Author Posted 22 March 2015 What's Hamer done to deserve all the love? Can't kick & has made errors himself. Schmeichel on his day is our best keeper, at the minute though I'd go with Schwarzer due to experience, yes he had a shaky start but last few games he has played he has done well. Hamer 's errors??... Can't really think of any clangers.. How many goals did he concede in open play?
yorksfox Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 4 wins all season, 3 of those with clean sheets and a keeper who not only made the necessary saves but calmly inspired those defenders in front of him....what a waste this season has been and the rude, arrogant guy that supposedly 'manages' the team should have left weeks ago.

Totally agree!. Good Manager's don't let personal vendettas against players get in the way of selecting the BEST team for the club!!.. Hamer, Albrighton, Knockaert have all suffered due to Pearson's Personal dislike for them.. DREADFUL MANAGEMENT and the owner's should be ashamed of themselves for allowing him to continue in his job!!
Rutland Fox Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Schmeichel looked overweight at Spurs yesterday - you're never sure what he's going to do and that's not what we want from a goalkeeper. Nugent and Vardy were excellent, the Spurs pen was dubious. Hamer is by far the best option but whatever happens now we can be sure that our idiot manager will do the wrong thing. Those in senior management at the club should be held responsible for a disastrous season. I waited 10 years in the stands to watch PL soccer and LCFC just p@@@ed it away.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Can we have a sticky thread with links to all of the other goalkeeper threads? All of these non-points have been rebutted a thousand times by lots of different people.
kingfox Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Hamer 's errors??... Can't really think of any clangers.. How many goals did he concede in open play? He cost us against Spurs at home. Majority of his kicks are absolute clangers tbh.
LukeyZade Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Disgusting still yet to know our best 11. Pearson may aswell let logan have a go
Matt Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 He cost us against Spurs at home. Majority of his kicks are absolute clangers tbh. No, the wall split. Criminal defending. Leicester v Tottenham - Eriksen free kick; https://www.youtube.com/embed/34D0-CKrgAA Nugent and Mahrez jump out of the way, they don't simply just jump up to get in the way of the ball, they literally jump out of the way. Ok, maybe Hamer's positioning isn't brilliant for it but he isn't miles away. But if you're gonna moan about Hamer's positioning and claim he 'cost us' in that game, what about Schmeichel's against Burnley, he may aswell have been stood on the corner flag, or got a sign out with an arrow pointing saying 'Put it here, in this big space i'm not covering'. Leicester v Burnley - Wallace free kick; https://www.youtube.com/embed/hvmpt3_ZtLk As for his kicking, I honestly don't think Schmeichel's is alot better, it was my one criticism of him last year, i've said many times he is a quality Championship keeper but that is his level (that goes for many of our players) but I had a real issue with his kicking last season.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Hamer is easily the best of the three. What has he got to do, to be picked?
DB11 Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 For the first goal if Kasper was more composed he'd have let Huth clear it with his head rather than clawing it into Kane's path.
weller54 Posted 22 March 2015 Author Posted 22 March 2015 Hamer is easily the best of the three. What has he got to do, to be picked? ...Schmeichel and Schwarzer need to die!!!

stillwater Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Did Kasper come out of his 6 yard box at all yesterday? Because he doesn't command his area it causes our defence to play deeper and deeper as the game went on. He's probably the best shot stopper we have and releases the ball much quicker than the other two. If we could morph all three into one keeper we would have a very good one:)
Fox92 Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 He cost us against Spurs at home. Majority of his kicks are absolute clangers tbh. One mistake. I can reel off my arm how many times Kasper has cost us. Hamer's kicking is terrible but we aren't going to get a complete goalkeeper unless we're competing for the European Cup.

Max Power Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Pearsons discarding of Hamer so quickly is one of the stranger decisions of this season, id love to know why...
Matt Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Pearsons discarding of Hamer so quickly is one of the stranger decisions of this season, id love to know why... According to Bert, Pearson doesn't rate him after his mistake against Tottenham as simple as that, personally I can't see it being as simple as that and if it is god knows why no blame was pinned on Schmeichel after the Burnley free kick which I have already highlighted and i'd love to know how Morgan and co keep getting selected after mistake after mistake after mistake.

Matt Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 I've heard Pearson suffers from Pogonophobia!?... You might just be on to something... Nigel Pearson and Ben Hamer's mum are in agreement, not just that Leicester City is the best club for the goalkeeper to move to – but also that he should finally shave off his impressive beard. The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract with City after leaving Charlton, and he said the first instruction he was given from his new boss was to shave off his face fuzz. "The boss doesn't like it already," he said of his bushy beard. http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-s-Ben-Hamer-told-shave-beard/story-21142827-detail/story.html “Ben is available again. He has been training for the last week or so. His finger is about as ugly as his beard is now, but he is okay. Ritchie De Laet had a back problem during the game against Southampton but he is fine now, but Dean won’t be available.” http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-defender-Matt-Upson-set-run/story-24573126-detail/story.html
Salieri Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Schmeichel isn't even the best goalkeeper in his family, let alone the club. Good shot stopper but his lack of command of the area has cost us time and again.

Fox92 Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Is his Mum better than him then? Wonder how good his dad is?
Bettsj2 Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 The main problem is all 3 keepers have few strengths and many weaknesses. If you could morph the 3 of them together, we'd have an ace keeper. As it stands, it doesn't really matter who is in goal as they're all as likely as each to fvck up at some point.
