Bentex Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 Ambrusics: I'll have more chance with Leicester Ambrusics Róbert has a contract with Leicester until 2012. On NB1.hu there is an interview with the young goalkeeper where he says "Before I signed the contact I thought substantially about it. I had offers from the Premierleague, Bundesliga and the Dutch league. But still I accepted the offer from the then championship side Leicester city. Because I feel with time here is where I'll get more chance. Slowly I'll be here for 1 year. I have been the 2nd choice keeper of the reserve side. And I'm the fourth choice for the senior team. I've also been promised more chances at reserve level. The clubs has ambitions to be in the premiership within two years. And in 1-2 years I want to become the #1 at the club. Source: nb1.hu

Corky Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 Never heard of him, but he sounds ambitious which is good.
Simi Posted 8 August 2008 Posted 8 August 2008 I've seen him training with the team a lot and wondered who he was.
Bentex Posted 26 March 2009 Author Posted 26 March 2009 Hi again I watched him play last night for the u17s against Serbia. He showed so really good skillz You can see a video of his saves here, as he was named man of the match http://www.xtratime.org/forum/showpost.php...;postcount=2864
Stevosevic Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Was he the keeper out on the pitch before the Colchester game? Stockdale and Stowell came out first with someone i didnt recognise, possibly him? Then Warner came out about 15mins later.

Can you give us the jist of the interview please? Also he should have done better with the goal which was definately on side.
Thracian Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Never heard of him, but he sounds ambitious which is good. He's quite promising and you cannot blame a bloke for being ambitious and believing in himself. But while he can be impressive enough in certain aspects of his game I've seen him drop some howlers particularly when fellow defenders have been involved. I wondered if they were down to communications, which might be understandable, but whatever the reasons he didn't take control and the mistakes cost us. Doubtless he will have known that as much as anyone and will have already worked hard to make improvements. But neither he nor the fans need get ahead of themselves. I remember Shilts when he was Ambrusics' age and the latter has a million miles to go yet. And that includes his outfield play. Shilton was a more than useful centre-forward.
Alexikokopops Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 is his name Róbert Ambrusics or Ambrusics Róbert ? Róbert Ambrusics. In Hungary they write the surname first usually.
Corky Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Róbert Ambrusics. In Hungary they write the surname first usually. Correct. Ikokopops Alex.
MC Prussian Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 Skills? I think he got lucky there - the Spanish attacker could have gotten a touch on the ball, too. There are numerous examples where that wonderous move simply backfired...
Corky Posted 26 March 2009 Posted 26 March 2009 His name sounds like a brand of Rice Pudding. Oh arr, it's Ambrusics-ar. That could work
Bentex Posted 26 March 2009 Author Posted 26 March 2009 Smoe nice (cocky) skills there. Can you give us the jist of the interview please? Also he should have done better with the goal which was definately on side. Certainly He basically says that he tried his best during the match but feels his team mates didn't give what they could. He thought there was more in this team. Regarding his skillz. He said he learned to play football at Pécs (his club before MTK). He was a striker then. He likes to enjoy the game and entertain. Everyone I've spoken to about the game thought he didn't really well and is full of confidence
