Dylan Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 I'd go with: Weale Naughton Hobbs Davies Berner Moussa Wellens King Dyer Fryatt Waghorn Subs: Logan, Vitor, Cunningham, Abe, Gallagher, Howard, Vassell Assuming we sign no more players on loan till then. I'd go with a 4-4-2 formation. Vassell is supposed to be fit for bench for Saturday; however if he's fully match fit, i'd start him in place of Fryatt/Moussa, either on the wing, or up front. I think Wellens should start; he'll be less fatigued and looked comfortable with the ball on tuesday, even though he took slightly long to release it- but I feel he'll be able to control our midfield- alongside King of course.
dogadug Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Judging on yesterdays performance, i'd definitely bring in Cunningham for Berner, but the rest of that team looks OK
cc_star Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Logan, Lamey, Moreno, Hob..... No, wait. Weale Naughton - Davies (if fit) - Hobbs - BernerAbeMussa - Wellens - DyerKingWaghorn Subs: Howard, Vasell, Cunningham, Vitor, Fryatt & ??? doesn't really matter, no one else is any good
Finnegan Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale. Naughton, Hobbs, Vitor, Cunningham. Dyer, Abe, King, Moussa. Howard, Waghorn.
LCFC-Sam Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale Naughton - Vitor - Davies - Cunningham Moussa - Wellens - King - Dyer Fryatt - Waghorn Subs: Logan, Hobbs, Berner, Abe, Gallagher, Howard, Vassell
bettso Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Davies is injured so my team would be: - Weale Naughton Hobbs Vitor Cunningham Gallagher King Wellens Dyer Waghorn Fryatt Subs - Logan, Morrison, Abe, Vassell, Moussa, Howard, Berner

I doubt davies will be fit for sat , meaning either vitor /morrison will play !! and i would start howard with waggy, and then maybe vassell second half Weale. Naughton, Hobbs, Vitor, Cunningham. Dyer, Wellens, King, Moussa. Howard, Waghorn.
Onions Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale Naughton Morrison Davies Kennedy Shclupp King Verma Fryatt Crncic Chambers The first team ain't doing it, so bring in the 'fringe' players and give them a chance.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale Naughton Davies* Vitor KennedyDyer Wellens King © MoussaHoward Waghorn *Hobbs in if Davies is injured.
Ricey Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale Naughton - Davies - Hobbs - BernerMoussa - King - Wellens - DyerWaghorn - Fryatt
Wymsey Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale Naughton Morrison Hobbs Berner Gallagher Moussa King Abe Dyer I I Howard
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Howard has to start IMO. Assuming Davies isn't fit: Weale Naughton Vitor Hobbs Cunningham Moussa Wellens King Dyer Howard Fryatt
TuptonFox Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 i think Davies will still be injured so... Weale Naughton Hobbs Vitor Cunningham Dyer King Wellens Gallagher Howard Waghorn subs: Logan, Morrison, Berner, Vassell, Abe, Oakley/Moussa, Fryatt i know it may be a little controversial putting Gally in my side but i think as soon as he scores one he'll be on fire,
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Seriously can someone explain why they think Wellens is crap? We have little creativity or presence at all in midfield without him. I'm not saaying Abe is shit but what has he done to prove he's better than Wellens? In our standout performances this season - Coventry, Cardiff, S****horpe, Leeds our best player has been Wellens. And he was massive for us last season.

Simmo86 Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale Naughton Davies (if fit) Hobbs (if not) Vitor Cunningham Moussa Abe King Dyer Gally Waggy As much as i hate Gally being in there, I want Moussa playing centre mid again and theres not a better option
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale Naughton Davies Hobbs Berner Moussa Dyer King Wellens Howard Waghorn
Corky Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Weale Naughton Vitor Hobbs/Davies Berner Moussa King Abe Dyer Howard Waghorn
davieG Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 I don't really care it feels like a Holloway part 2 season except worse in some ways the players that I was just starting feel some affinity for have seemingly turned to shit overnight and the rest is made up of here today gone tomorrow loanees. Doesn't feel like a Leicester City team anymore.
Wymsey Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Two players who i really admire Berner and Hobbs who were on subs bench recently, i am worried about their confidence levels as they may feel they are not 'good' enough to play. Lets hope not. Something not right.

Doesn't feel like a Leicester City team anymore. I too worry about this - players like Waghorn, Hobbs, Gallagher and Berner were my favourites last year but just haven't performed. I do hope they find their form again and Sven sees what good players they actually are. With all the circus surrounding Sven and the new owners I have invisioned us being another, shitter Man City in a couple of years - a team full of mercenaries who simply turn up cos they get paid well and don't feel any kind of rapport with the club or fans. Last season I felt, as you say, an affinity with the team and management staff, not just because they were good but more because I felt that they felt the same way. The players gave me the impression that they felt they were here for a real purpose and there seemed to be a special atmosphere around the place. I hope that I soon feel like that again
Dylan Posted 27 October 2010 Author Posted 27 October 2010 Got nothing against Howard, but I think he needs to be used as an impact sub now, especially if were looking to play "good passing football". As he's not got the pace/brain imo to play passing football, and would rather have two pacey/younger players up front like Waggy and Fryatt, who can play quick 1-2's, and make quick runs etc. When we play Howard, we'll eventually resort to long balls I think.
lestajigs Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 Thought Howard can pass the ball well, he just hasn't got the pace or sharpness
Thracian Posted 27 October 2010 Posted 27 October 2010 When you actually want someone to explain why King IS our best midfielder - that's exactly when Thracian IS missing! a) That would perhaps be a fruitful action if I thought you'd have the slightest intention of listening. b) I'm not that keen to "sell" King the defender because King is arguably the best attacker we've got this season and the second best we've got overall, bearing in mind that Howard has scored 29 goals in 127 appearances as a striker while King has 28 goals from his 128 appearances, many of which were in defensive midfield.

I was being sincere, the poster I was addressing seemed to be of the impression that Wellens was our best attacking asset from the midfield.
