Alexikokopops Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Same, 'bant' is even worse. I've had the pleasure of hearing "bants in my pants"
Stevosevic Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 I've had the pleasure of hearing "bants in my pants" Haven't we all...
bluefox9er Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 tbf richard keys seems a bit of a dick anyway Totally agree..could never understand how that twat got a job in football with sky..who had ever heard of the gorilla before then? and what he SAID as a LOT worse than Andy Gray. They should have fired the cov twat too
Jackirius Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 I really hate the word "banter" I hate using it but I really couldn't think of another word for it and wasn't going to stress myself over it and having to look at an online thesaurus. Strangely enough I knew someone would say something.

StanSP Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Is that better? Persiflage sounds much more astute and sophisticated
Koke Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 .... just wanted to add this point. Sky Sports are guilty of hypocrisy, they only employ women on sky sports news that look like models. Is that not Sexism too??? Sky are hardly the poster boys for progression, but nonetheless, Gray's position was untenable. Im glad he's gone. Why should women endure and tolerate such crap just because of their gender. Sexism is the last type of discrimination that is still casually accepted in society. Those of you who are saying its just "banter" would be singing a different tune if your daughter or wife had to endure this crap. inb4accusation of being pc brigade
Brainy Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 I'm expecting a £10,000 fine for him from the FA for that! If the FA want to keep consistent that is.. Is he not a tool?
StanSP Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Is he not a tool? No he's cool. Cos he knows how to execute banter/a joke/persiflage (in Jackirius' language). Plus he goes to a local restaurant every now and then with other famous golfers and some cricketers and is actually a very nice person.
ajthefox Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 I really hate the word "banter" Agreed, hate how everyone says "banter" and "LAD" all the fvcking time too. lad is particularly annoying when it's got like 5 words infront of it without spaces. didsomethingstupidLAD
Brainy Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Well has Leon Knight gone to your local restaurant for you to judge whether he's a very nice person?
bluefox9er Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 You'd get at least a written warning in an office or any other workplace trying that on a female colleague if not a sexual harrassment case so he was probably on his last legs before the remark last week Dunno where you work, but at my place this would be instant summary dismissal.
Jackirius Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 There is a difference between having a joke and being sexist, my definition of inciting sexism is to know what you are saying and say it to offend someone of the opposite sex.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Andy Gray's an idiot. Lost a dream job, and now won't be able to hear himself commentating on Fifa.

Like the situation that Andy Gray got fired for then (not the lineswoman situations, but the third one)?
MattyFromLE Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Just been on skysports that Andy Gray's contract has been terminated...i think
BoneDog Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 You lot must work for some futuristic 2024 type shaz companies 'cos at my place we've still got a bloke who walks around and every couple of days whops his cock out in front of the receptionist saying "Wey-heyyyyyyyyyyyyy, check out this f&%king mammoth wench" - and she loves it ! Mind you, she is getting on a bit, is past retirement age and single I think.

Either you work at Sky and someone just got sacked for doing that, or Andy Gray has found a job at the place where you work!
Ajax Treesdown Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Keys out next.......after this Keys to go
Raj Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Some of the comments on here are probably just like when 'black' players were allowed to join in and play football with "the white folk"
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 Why should Andy Gray be held up to higher standards than the rest of the country as a whole? His gesture to a female counterpart was the sort of line you hear up and down the country on nights out (obviously without the microphone bit). People just roll their eyes, ignore it or snigger. Either way, it's disregarded pretty quickly.. I also like how sexism can't be tolerated but you're quite comfortable with casual banter racism - that arrogant Jock plonker. Go and do it to a female co-worker now then you div. He wasn't on a night out, he was at work. It doesnt matter if it wasn't intended for broadcast. Didnt realise Max Branning had turned to football officiating Glad someone else has clocked that.
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 I personally couldn't give a shit. Sky Sports coverage won't be the same without him and he's going to improve the coverage of wherever he ends up immensely. Yeah. Channel 5's Europa League show hasnt really been up to scratch as of late. Could do with some new blood.
Alexikokopops Posted 26 January 2011 Posted 26 January 2011 And here's the view of some of their colleagues. Sounds as though no one likes them at Sky! It's not a surprise that all these videos are getting leaked.
