Alexikokopops Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 you're the tool I just assumed it was an attempt to make me make a third angry post in the space of five minutes, mainly because it's exactly what I'd have done
StanSP Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 you're the tool Anyone who agrees with what Leon Knight's saying tonight is a tool. Therefore, you are a tool.
BoneDog Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 We can all be a tool sometimes. Just relax and have a Cadbury's Caramel.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 This story will only complete itself once Ron Atkinson signs to be a pundit on Sky Sports. Please god make this happen!
Webbo Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Richard Keys has been demoted as well. He's now their hairier sales manager.
Corky Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Imagine you work for a second. You gesture at a female colleague, pull your trousers down a bit, before saying "could you tuck this in for us" in a way that is in no way "banter" and which the collegue clearly doesn't appreciate, before turning around and bursting into laughter with a male colleague at the whole thing. What would you expect your employers to do? He should've covered all areas and asked Richard Keys as well.
BoneDog Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 To be honest, Andy Gray has always been a kind of commentary hero of mine ever since one night between 1991 and 1993 in a Forest Newcastle match. Forest scored a screamer (maybe Ian Woan) and Andy Gray talking about the Newcastle goalkeeper screamed "HE WOULD'NAE A GOT TAE THAT WI A LADDER".
davieG Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Richard Keys has been demoted as well. He's now their hairier sales manager. That's makes you hairyist.

One Arm Babba Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 HE WAS NOT SACKED FOR THE REMARKS HE WAS SACKED FOR THE INCIDENT WITH CHARLOTTE JACKSON IN DECEMBER!If anyone can honestly say they could get away with that kind of thing in their workplace without some kind of disciplinary at least then they're either lying, or work in a very strange place I have some serious "banter" with my receptionist at work. Just coz the video of andy gray saying stuff to charlotte jackson doesn't portray him in a very good light, what's to say its not a 2 way thing? I'm not vindicating sexism in any way but what's the difference with how the old ladies on loose women are drooling over the male guests with innuendos. I genuinely feel sorry for Andy Gray. What Ron Atkinson did was completely unacceptable, this is not to the same magnitude but unfortunately he has lost a job he was very good at. I'd like to hear Charlotte Jacksons take on his behaviour. on a related topic, if they are looking for a fellow Scot to replace him I think they should hire Big Dunc and fuel him up with Tennants Super before each match... him wringing Jamie Redknapps neck would be TV gold. .... just wanted to add this point. Sky Sports are guilty of hypocrisy, they only employ women on sky sports news that look like models. Is that not Sexism too???

I'd imagine Sky just had a gander at the video on You Tube rather than speak to the people involved.
Jackirius Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 http://twitpic.com/3tcgu6 Ian Poulter seems to agree with them.
StanSP Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 http://twitpic.com/3tcgu6 Ian Poulter seems to agree with them. I'm expecting a £10,000 fine for him from the FA for that! If the FA want to keep consistent that is..
Stevosevic Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 New video released in last hour or so... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxr79eRSbNk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxr79eRSbNk]
StanSP Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 Ruud Gullit not getting involved. Probably playing Tetris or Snake on his phone. Good man.
Jackirius Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 What do people expect them to be, they're obviously not going to be as squeaky clean as they appear on camera, been blown way out of proportion. I think it is pretty good persiflage from them to be honest.
Stevosevic Posted 25 January 2011 Posted 25 January 2011 I really hate the word "banter" Same, 'bant' is even worse.
