AmericanScott Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I'll never ever vote in politics for the rest of my life. Unless i was held at gun point. Then that's a different scenario.
Samilktray Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I had some old guy coem round to try and persuade me to vote labour. I kindly said he was wasting his time.
Hitesh Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I would vote but I won't be at home. Actually, come to think of it, not sure who I would vote for if I was...
Finnegan Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Fuck knows. It's only my second election and I'm utterly disillusioned. Fuck all point voting Lib Dems, feel massively let down by Labour and outright refuse to ever vote Conservative. Would probably vote Plaid if I was in a suitable constituency. I'm tempted to vote something like Green if I'm able locally. (It's worth pointing out that any vote other than Conservative is just a protest vote in Charnwood, Conservatives have it nailed year after year.)
Webbo Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Do we get a second preference vote this time? I think we did last European election.
dandannieldanok Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 What are all the options to vote for? Exactly, this will be the first opportunity I have to vote yet there has been absolutely no campaigning of any sort here, seems like no-ones bothered. Apart from a BNP leaflet posted today, absolutely nothing in this area. Edit: Certainly won't be voting Conservative no matter what.
Guest Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 What are all the options to vote for? The wonders of Google produced this. I don't think I'll bother voting. Seriously.
Samilktray Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 The wonders of Google produced this.I don't think I'll bother voting. Seriously. 4 options for Thurmaston, how unexciting.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Judging by recent event, I'll more than likely vote for the one with the smallest swimming pool, It'll cost me less.
DB11 Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I'm not voting. Other than the fact that I'm not old enough, I wouldn't vote even if I was.
Hitesh Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I'm not voting. Other than the fact that I'm not old enough, I wouldn't vote even if I was. How come? I haven't voted yet and I'm 22 but I haven't had the chance to purely out of situations/locations and the last general election was a day before my 18th so I missed out on that. If I could have, then i definitely would have exercised the chance to. I can understand that its difficult to put trust in these MP's and to even look through the spin but if you should make use of your right to vote if you can! Some countries don't even give you that chance! Having said that, I also think there needs to be more education/information for the younger voters in general - and something which is interesting also!

Having said that, I also think there needs to be more education/information for the younger voters in general - and something which is interesting also! In principle, yes. However, with the two main parties basically coming up with the same things, and using semantics to try and make out the other ones are talking shit, when they both are, it's very difficult to motivate oneself to vote this year. As for the Lib Dems, they offer nothing of any substance, and the only other party is the BNP, and I would rather eat my own intestines than vote for them. Judging by recent event, I'll more than likely vote for the one with the smallest swimming pool, It'll cost me less. It's the local council and European Parliament elections.
Guest Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Green Party over here. You're lucky. My protest vote would have gone to them, if the racists hadn't got 4th spot. I might just go and spoil my paper in protest instead.
Corky Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 You're lucky. My protest vote would have gone to them, if the racists hadn't got 4th spot. I might just go and spoil my paper in protest instead. We've even got a board outside the house to show our allegiance
Babylon Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Labour Lib Dem Conservative BNP ...oh what choice of vile beings there is to pick from.
hairy Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Its a crime that the public passion has gone out of politics. Seems we know we're f@$ked no matter whos in charge.
billyfox1 Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 I'm 26 and have never voted. It's just a bunch of overpaid twats with two houses paid for by us. Whoever can talk the most bullshit wins. I can't stand the way they all stand in the house of commons bitching at each other like they are 5 year olds in the playground and then expect us to put them in charge of the country.
Finnegan Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 ToriesMy first election I can vote in Another one born.
Ultra Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Labour out of instinct, and to keep the BNP out. Everyone should vote to make sure that filth doesn't represent us in Brussels and also to make sure Kilroy-Silk's holiday at our expense finally comes to end after five years..
stez Posted 12 May 2009 Posted 12 May 2009 Another one born. yes because any of them are worthy of my vote. to believe the greens would be any different to the rest of them, if they ever got a sniff of power, is to delude yourself
