Just wondering if there's a recall clause in DJ's contract. Today he scored 2 goals for Blackpool, winning them the game, gaining them 2 vital points. Surely we should recall him if we can. We shouldn't be lending our rivals players, especially at the end of the season.

Exactly. Surely with any loan a recall clause should be stuck in just in case of situations like this. Especially when we loaned him Blackpool were doing quite well.

Stupid decision to let him out in the first place - our only real goalscorer to cover for Fryatt, and assuming he (Fryatt) would go the whole season not injued was naive at best. Let alone the fact that Blackpool will no way be covering more than half his wages, and the fact that Blackpool could well be the team to pip us, and Holloway must be p*ss*ng himself laughing at our expense. Sorry Pearson, but you got this one dead wrong.

It's a vaild point tho Dylan, he is scoring goals against a rival for a play-off place... Recall him and make him sit on our bench! oh and i'm not saying Blackpool wouldn't still get a top 6 either but at this current time they are on a high, he is scoring..recall him.. If i was NP i would

When he was first loaned out, I had a feeling this could happen.

Although we need to focus on our form, DJ bagging goals for Blackpool is hardly helping us.

His goals could end up costing us a play-off place.

So does anyone here know whether there's a recall option or not. Cause if there is, its absolutely idiotic of Leicester not to recall him.

Don't think there is. Can't remember where I saw it mentioned but pretty sure there isn't. Also, I don't think NP would want to and I don't think he would add anything apart from our offside count!

It's not about adding anything to us (although i think he'll do better than Kermit), its about taking something away from Blackpool. Today he won them 2 points. These could be costly come the end of the season.

Waghorn is better than DJ. Also, as was said when we originally loaned him to Blackpool, if we don't make the playoffs then it is down to us, not him. Still, it is very unhelpful for us I must admit!

The fact of DJ being out on loan enables us to have Spearing & Vaughan here, I say keep him at the seaside. People dont realise how much DJ's wages have really fooked us up in Transfer/Loan windows! He's still on the mega money ala Bruno N'Gotty & Clem just glad we had insurance to pay their wages.

DJ CAMPBELL HAS NO RECALL OPTION.

He scored 2 goals today well done, when did he go out on loan?

People need to start to realise he just doesn't fit in here!!!!

Some people here need to think a bit harder.

Its not about keeping him to play for us but about not giving rivals help.

What an idiotic decision to loan him out, are we that desperate for cash we loan out expensive players to teams in the same division?

MM will regret this big time if blackpool take a playoff spot at our expense.

Not really simple as recalling him though is it. The wages that are being freed up by him being there have already been spent on bringing in Spearing and Vaughan. I think it's very unlikely Milan is going to dip into his purse again so what do we do? Send them back?

Well MM ought to realise it's a case of dipping into his purse again. There's not saying even if we did recall (Although apparently there is no recall option anyway) DJ we would make the playoffs, there's no saying even if we made the playoffs we'd win - especially on current form, however how much would a playoff and ultimatly promotion make in money terms? Millions, the playoff final alone brings in 60m am I correct? I'm sure i've heard that sum floating about in the past so MM has got to realise you have to spend money to make money - It's a gamble and in current form we won't make the playoffs, If we recalled DJ and Blackpool's threat to our current playoff spot is taken away another team will take our space in our current form, but it's a gamble that could pay off.

On the other hand if we have a word with ourselves (I'm talking about the players) sort ourseleves out and start gaining some decent form starting Monday, we won't be having this discussion.

We can control our own fate...Have we (The players) got the bottle to see the job through?

I agree it might be in his long term interests but after the fuss Mandaric made about the money he'd spent bringing Vaughan in, I can't see him taking another hit to bring DJ back (even if the recall option was there.)

This is all a bit pointless anyway imo. If our form is so shit that we can't outdo what is a pretty average (even with DJ!) Blackpool side over 5 games then we would've got slaughtered by Forest over two legs anyway.
