DanTheFox07 Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 Dj isn`t the Answer to our problem`s im afraid, weve been leaking goals! so we have defensive issues, besides Does Dj campbell really wanna do it for us, has he ever done it for us, simple answer NO!
Matt Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 I agree it might be in his long term interests but after the fuss Mandaric made about the money he'd spent bringing Vaughan in, I can't see him taking another hit to bring DJ back (even if the recall option was there.) This is all a bit pointless anyway imo. If our form is so shit that we can't outdo what is a pretty average (even with DJ!) Blackpool side over 5 games then we would've got slaughtered by Forest over two legs anyway. Exactly if we don't help ourselves (Start winning/getting points at the very least) then bringing DJ back is pointless anyway because even if Blackpool don't overtake us some other team will. Dj isn`t the Answer to our problem`s im afraid, weve been leaking goals! so we have defensive issues, besides Does Dj campbell really wanna do it for us, has he ever done it for us, simple answer NO! Can I get something straight about the people who want to recall DJ? It's not so much people want to bring DJ back to play for us, It's a case of people want to bring DJ back so we take a threat away from Blackpool, Simples.

The only reason id want him to comeback is to get rid of him full stop!
Edmund Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 At least Blackpool will be able to finally afford his wages when they get promoted.
Salieri Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 At least Blackpool will be able to finally afford his wages when they get promoted. Every cloud and all that.....

Guest Posted 3 April 2010 Posted 3 April 2010 So what if we had sold him to Blackpool instead? Would you be asking for a refund? Get over it. He doesn't want to play for us, and at least we're not paying the entirety of his stupid contract, meaning money can be spent elsewhere.
Dylan Posted 5 April 2010 Author Posted 5 April 2010 And he scores again for Blackpool, helping them win keeping the pressure up on us.
Guest Posted 5 April 2010 Posted 5 April 2010 Has anyone considered the possibility that Blackpool might have won 5-0 instead, if Dudley hadn't been playing?
harpendenfox Posted 5 April 2010 Posted 5 April 2010 Dudley, it's Milan here. You know how i'm still paying half your wages right? OK, here's the deal. 32 minutes into Blackpool's game with Newcastle at the weekend you are to receive a ball in midfield, run towards your own goal, and put the ball past your own goalkeeper. Then, by way of celebration, go and celebrate by exposing your arse to the Geordie fans, thus incurring a red card and three match ban. I will then buy you a meal at Fusions Restaurant by way of reward. Don't let me down Dudley. Miss you MM x
Aeropars Posted 5 April 2010 Posted 5 April 2010 I dont often insult people but for people to be talking about recalling DJ are either plainly retarded or have no idea about football business at all. So much so i cannot be bothered to entertain this thread.
Joe. Posted 5 April 2010 Posted 5 April 2010 I've never liked the guy for us, but there's no denying that this could potentially be one grave error on our part.
Guest parky0607 Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 What about the play offs - I know he can't play against leicester in the league, but are play offs included in this? Would be a catastrophe if he knocked us out of the play offs!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 What about the play offs - I know he can't play against leicester in the league, but are play offs included in this? Would be a catastrophe if he knocked us out of the play offs!! He wouldnt be able to. Pretty sure I'm correct on that.
Walshy5 Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 I dont like dj campbell but we should recall him if theres an option even if he just sits on the bench purely to just stop him scoring for our nearest play-off rivals. It realy is that simple.
Guest Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 I'm thinking outside of the box here, but why stop at Dudley Junior? Why not stop all of our rivals strikers from playing? There is a very good chance one or more is going to score in the next four games, I say we nip it in the bud now.
Corky Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 What about the play offs - I know he can't play against leicester in the league, but are play offs included in this? Would be a catastrophe if he knocked us out of the play offs!! I highly doubt we'd let him play. Yes, I know it's annoying he's scoring goals for another club, one of our play-off rivals, but if we hadn't had the bad run then Blackpool would be well behind us in the table.
Brainy Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 Not sure if it's been said but would Blackpool have to bid to extend the duration of the loan once the 46 games are up? Cause surely then we'd just say no.
willchafer Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 even if in loaning out dj gave us some money to call in other loans, it cant hurt that much to pay his wages for a couple more weeks the season is nearly over were not that skint....are we?
Jimmy Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 even if in loaning out dj gave us some money to call in other loans, it cant hurt that much to pay his wages for a couple more weeks the season is nearly over were not that skint....are we? yes we are that skint, plus DJ is 1 of if not the highest paid player in the squad, if we're not going to play him, which we have shown no intention of doing all season, then why pay all of his wages when we can get rid of around half, probably received a loan fee and with the saved wages & fee from the Gradel sale and sign Alex Bruce, Jay Spearing & James Vaughan on loan as well as signing Nobby Solano on a free
The Doctor Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 christ. He's been on loan there for what 3 months now and he's scored 5 goals - hardly a great return is it?
lou Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 christ. He's been on loan there for what 3 months now and he's scored 5 goals - hardly a great return is it? Stop talking sense! Theres no room in this thread for that sort of perspective! Knew this thread would be on here.... its a joke to be honest, he did feck all for us and didnt wanna be here. Dont blame him at all for cracking on somewhere else but the point remains its OUR POOR FORM recently thats put our play off spot in jeopardy NOT DJ scoring a few goals. If we hadnt lost so many lately it would be irrelevant, Frankly if we cant finish above Blackpool (with or without DJ) then we dont deserve to be in the play offs anyway. Whats NP/MM supposed to do, carry on paying massively high wages all season to a player who doesnt perform for us and has no desire to stay and keep him from playing OR off load him to THE ONLY CLUB who came in for him? Not a grave error, just good business and the fairest thing for the player too.
flanimal Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 With Clemence retiring, that frees up wages - so recall the git.
okie fox Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 As others have said, if we had recalled DJ then perhaps we wouldn't have James Vaughn. I would much rather have Vaughn anyday. He has shown glimpses of real premiership class.
Sir Fynwy Posted 6 April 2010 Posted 6 April 2010 With Clemence retiring, that frees up wages - so recall the git. Clem has been being paid by insurance, how does him retiring free up a single penny for city?
