Fosse Boy Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Just a quick update on what's happening with the group at the moment. Following on the from the Middlesbrough game LCFC apparently received 25 e-mails regarding the group, of which 3 were in support and 22 were apparently complaints about us being too noisy (remember, the "Kop" is meant to be our home end). As a result we have been issued with an ultimatum, to either move or face ejections/bans. Obviously we don't much like this bullying approach and as such we need a short time to resolve this issue. So we have decided that just for the Reading game on Saturday there will be no Fosse Boys section at the back of SK1. This is obviously a setback to the group's ambitions but we know if we don't get our organisation right while the group is still in its infancy we're doomed to fail, so hopefully people will understand why we're doing this. If anybody would like to contact the club in support of us, please e-mail [email protected], as they obviously value the electronic word far greater than the dozens and dozens of people in the ground who shook hands with us, complimented us on how good it was to have some vitality and passion at home games and generally wished us well last Saturday. All group members will be able to pick up their match tickets and season tickets from us in The Counting House before the game on Saturday. If you have any questions about this please PM me or ARAB. Thanks.

Edmund Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 So 22 people complain out of the 21,587 who attended yet the club listen to the minority? What an embarrassment our club are. Will send an e-mail in
Unabomber Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 People seriously complained that you were "too noisy"? Some of our "fans" are absolutely unbelievable
Jay Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Sounds like a load of crap to be honest who on earth would complain about atmosphere at a football match. It's obvious to me that the club couldn't give a crap about atmosphere and I wouldn't put it past them just to make up some crap about emails, to put you off. You caused no offense to anyone within the Kop didn't block anyones views, and were totally respectful towards those around you. While other clubs try to encourage an atmosphere, even Spurs were giving out flags yesterday, City seem to want to stifle any sort of atmosphere or life into the stadium I really wonder about this club sometimes........
Bellend Sebastian Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 It's a shame that people are moaning about the noise, but what the hell can they do about that? I assume that the threat to eject is based upon the fact that you're standing, and they can only do that because it's against ground regulations. Making a noise isn't against ground regulations so rather than backing off why don't you try sitting and singing? If you disappear the moaners will see it as a victory
AoWW Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 That's ridiculous, people are always far quicker to complain than they are to praise and the club bloody well know it, I, for one, will be sending them an email in support of the group. I can't remember exactly what response you got to the group on TB and Bentley's Roof ? If it was positive it might be worth posting your comment on their too.
dave_the_fox Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Hi there I would like to move my season ticket seat please, preferably away from the stadium as it is far too noisy. Maybe a nice quiet spot outside of the stadium would be better? Kind regards, Dave Sent
Salieri Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 The response from the club is as predictable as it is cringeworthy. I'm sure a load of us from here could bang a few e-mails out, just to redress the balance like.

If you disappear the moaners will see it as a victory Because others in the same stand and elsewhere in the ground our allowed to stand freely without hassle. We are being victimised purely because we are an organised group who are continuously singing for 90 minutes. We do not obstruct anyone's view and as such there is no reason why we should sit down if the club are willing to allow persistent standing in other areas to carry on unchalleneged.
leftsideoverhere Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Dear LCFC fanzone,I understand that you've received some complaints from fans regarding the 'Fosse Boys' group who were located at the rear of the kop / East stand corner during the Middlesborough game. As season ticket holders in the kop, my son and I want the club to appreciate how much we enjoyed seeing and hearing the Fosse Boys during the game, and what a bonus it made to our 'match day experience' that they were there. The atmosphere in the kop generally was much better during that game, despite the nil nil scoreline, than it has often been at the Walkers' Stadium during matches Leicester have actually won! I'm not sure if the club are aware of the research demonstrating that the amount of noise generated by fans at home games has a direct correlation to the so-called 'home advantage' in sport, but for instance, see the work of Professor Alan Nevill here: http://www.wlv.ac.uk/default.aspx?page=14185 I would have thought that it was therefore to the club's best all round interests that a group of fans who wish to make noise, sing and cheer for their team throughout the game were encouraged and enabled to do so. Not only that, but the presence of the Fosse Boys in the kop, rather than in L block, means that the home end behind the goal has again got the potential to become an intimidating 'wall of sound' for the visiting team. I can't believe that you would use the fact that you've received a small number of complaints out of a crowd of 20,000 people, to justify forcing the Fosse Boys to restrain themselves in their support of our team. The Fosse Boys appeared to get significant numbers of Kop regulars singing along with them, and we were greatly looking forward to singing along with their songs on Saturday at the Reading game, until we learned on the Foxes Talk forum that you have decided that they should not sit in the kop - the area of the ground which the club itself refers to in season ticket publicity as the home of the "traditional" vocal supporters of the club. Really, this seems to be a stunningly short-sighted and disappointing decision, and one which I hope the club will reverse as soon as possible. Sincerely,
ACF Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 To whom it may concern. I would like to thank the club in supporting the Fosse Boys, in bringing a newfound atmosphere back in to the ground. As soon as this group gets bigger, we might soon get the same atmosphere we had back in the Filbert Street days. This modern 'Ultra' type thing is fantastic, and the club should embrace it, and support these boys to the full extent. Regards, Alex Badley.

I've sent an e mail, much good that it will do.
leftsideoverhere Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Time for a leaflet to be written perhaps, explaining what the Fosse Boys are trying to do, and how the club are being so feeble about it, to be given out to fans before the Reading game? If you did that, you'd probably get a few hundred to email the club in your support...
Jimmy Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 they probably didn't receive any complaining, just claimed that so they can try and have you thrown out
haraven Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Hello Fosse Boys, I just wrote and email to the club. Here is the email; Hello, I am a long serving LCFC fan living in Norway. I follow Leicester City via Leicester Player, whenever I get a chance to visit Walkers in person, and also on TV when there is an airing. I also follow various messages boards to keep in touch with my club. The Fosse Boys have been working hard to create an atmosphere in what many of us believe is a rather "dead" Walkers stadium - unfortunately known as a library. These lads have to my attention only one goal, create positive energy and support for the lads out on the field - and there is no doubt the players appreciate singing and vocal supporters. I ask of you to start supporting their cause, because they are really creating a positive atmosphere that is sorely needed since we left Filbert Street. I sincerely hope the club will acknowledge the Leicester City fans undying support, and especially make life easier for the supporters known as the Fosse Boys. Positive fan power like this will only make LCFC look even better for visiting fans and media alike. Have a nice day, <my full name that I don't publish on forums>
Ashley Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Urawa Reds Fans. Keep up the good work Fosse Boys!
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Just sent a support email off too, possibly a bit wordy, but I had a lot to get off my chest dating back to 2007.

Might encourage the 22 to move their tickets elsewhere and legally the club wouldn't have a leg to stand on if they wanted to try and throw you out.

Narborough_fox Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 To whoever this may concern, I would like to congratulate the club on letting Fosse Boys into the club, I have been a season ticket holder since the 2003/2004 season and have been to many an away game however I have never experienced a "proper" atmosphere at the Walkers. Many have found it hard to move from Filbert Street to the Walkers Stadium and many people have said that the reason is the lack of atmosphere. Fosse Boys have tried there very hardest and I thank you for supporting the group, however after recent revelations of Fosse boys being told to move i am very disappointed it seemed that the atmosphere was better than ever, so I do not understand why you have told them to move. After only 22 complaints, they have tried and tried and until the clubs gives them %100 backing they won't ever be able to bring back "that" Filbert Street atmosphere. I hope Fosse Boys grows ever stronger. Regards

Houdini Logic Posted 26 August 2010 Posted 26 August 2010 Read my previous post. I did, which is why I posted - it said the Fosse Boys won't be at the Reading game
