Blue Bob Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Now the window has shut, time for the loan deals? Is there anyone you fancy? With the Premier team announcing their 25 man squads tomorrow, who will be surplus to requirement? With City making a few moves for defenders are we still looking? Having lost DJ's wages maybe we will be able to afford some loanees?

Maybe we could take Ashley Williams on loan with a purchase price agreed for January!
Bryn Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I'm passed caring, it's all too stressful. I'm just glad not to have lost any of our star players. I'm sick of hearing about transfer stuff now.

ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Anyone decent players that will be missing the Prem will do for me. Off topic, does anyone know how long Waggie has signed for?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 There will be some quality players around, especially among the bigger teams. A striker or two, and a keeper would be good.

s11nny Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 these are the positions we need players in: Central Defence - someone with experience and leader skills to partner Hobbs. Winger - to replace N'guessan on the starting line up. Striker - similar to Howards Qualities but better.

Franck Moussa is a winger. You haven't seen Crncic play yet. Optimistic I know but, it's not that drastic.

Optimistic I know but, it's not that drastic. Just gonna mention Crncic. A big youth by all accounts and is probably learning off Howard in training. Moussa has looked a little naive but definitely has something about him from what i've seen. If we're going to loan some unwanted Prem players, a left back would be the position i'd like to see. Berner looks to be struggling and i'm not convinced by Kennedy.

jonw88 Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Talking of quality experienced centre-backs who are good leaders... Jay deMerit is available on a free transfer... just saying

dandannieldanok Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Talking of quality experienced centre-backs who are good leaders... Jay deMerit is available on a free transfer... just saying If he was any good surely someone would have signed him by now. He's either viewed as not good enough by every manager in the country, or his wage demands are too high. Either way, despite our defence frailties, I'd rather we steer clear.
Bryn Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Thing is you can sign players out of contract out of the window, chances are people were just looking at other options whilst they were restricted. I imagine DeMerit will move in the next couple of weeks.
J.Lisemore Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Chris Riggott and Calum Davenport are both free agents
FrankieADZ Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Chris Riggott and Calum Davenport are both free agents i reckon either one could do a good job. unsure about the striker tho really.
