I find the lines always about the good of the club and city slightly troubling given likely job losses and impact on the economy over the forthcoming period. there’s a great deal of cynicism on the season ticket charge last summer and the club have not been clear at all with the money from that

I’d say it’s worth noting that a media source for Thailand which doesn’t have a great record with media freedom is publishing it. That would suggest they are doing with acceptance its not going to hurt them

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)

I’ve been going at 9.15pm plus. But notably last night the heat stayed around -
Was it some effort to push a result? 7 an over ain’t far off buffet stuff?

All arranged for 27th but the tv companies are likely to move them across. Rumoured to be happening up and down the pyramid but the clubs can choose to move - much like Good Friday/Easter Saturday

I tell you Cooper isn’t the best bloke behind the scenes. His indecision and then reckless nature on transfers makes him a real turn off for clubs.

It’s all to do with ground shares and policing. Generally as a rule of thumb, higher up the pyramid larger the crowd

Your lucky day as I went there last week. I’ll try to keep it general rather than outright recommendations. Beer / Drinking Beer gardens we went were Prater, Schleusen Krug and Cafe In Neun See (or something similar spelling) this is a cafe with a beer garden arounr the lake at the rear) Berliners (and Germans) have no harm in street drinking. Rather it’s a culture to drink and walk, then go chill on a park like Mauer Park and as a result the bars only really get full at night. You’ll find plenty of ‘Kniepe’ which are small pubs aimed at locals, wet trade only. If you are into craft beer, we went about 6/7 drinking establishments with an eye for that. So can pass on a list. As a rule, in my experience, Berlin feels like a tapestry of cities. KuDamm & Mitte are tourist hotspots but really refined and have some good places to eat/drink. Then you go East and South and it’s certainly more in your face. Quite untidy, but very Berlin chic. I can recommend Boxhagener Platz, Rosa-Luxembourg Platz, Prenzlauer Berg as nice bases for a night of drinking and eating. Certainly more chill around here. If you want the Berlin experience I described of seeing drug dealers, an attack on the senses, but really cool bars then you are looking at visiting Kreuzberg more. So Kottbusser Tor / Kottbusser Straße is your lead there. That leads into Neukollen which is more relaxed but still ungenetrifed containing some nice places to eat. We had an amazing brunch at Annelies & a superb dinner at a Restaurant Hasenheide (German cuisine). They are some very cool spots like Pluto, Bar Elizabeth, Trio, Barra if you are really into your food and cocktails (pricey). We are lots of Asian cuisine over there

Salzburg's last game is 26th June - if it was nuts and they played in the final, they would play until 13th July. Their first qualifier for the Champions League is 22nd July!!

I suspect they were away originally for opening day but then Everton asked for another week preparation. Either way its still mad

What a football club

I think any ideas about Wrexham hitting the top six might be toned down with the signing of Ryan Hardie from Plymouth.
-
Young centre back, 23, had a decent World Cup, over 100 pro games at the step below. Made sense to me. There's been some stinking signings but this added up to me. Then just totally under-utilised or not utilised in the right way. He'd have been ideal in a newly promoted sign who don't have ambitions about high lines etc.

Heroin and anthrax included

Isn't it just? Missus' anxiety went through the roof. The Carrefour is like a ****ing circus. You walk out the front door for some fresh air and question where the fcuk you are.

Get more performance from this man in the boozer these days. Speed drinker. He's playing in goal on Sunday in a big reunion of mates, so doubt he would have been able to manage 2 in 2 days.

What's Sergio Ramos doing?

Good business men see a club probably under its value which can be maximised relatively easily by football standards

Good backroom staff works is normally on delay by a year or so. that’s why if Rudkin stood down tomorrow, it’s until January transfwr window before it has real effect. It’s worth noting that when you think of 15/16

Have they? You might be getting mistaken with the WSL Championship Trophy
-
Interesting that all this comes out at the same time its reported Formula 1 have agreed a deal for a Bangkok street race and the primary reason is to improve Thailand's tourism. It's almost as if there is someone calling the shots from a higher level.

Yeah I think that's about 70% of the Championship now ignored Cooper after his sacking here.......
