  1. Vardy needs the right manager, he was a good fit with Cooper, and also as much as I love the memories and that he has been loyal to the club, his wages need to be part of the clear out. But the thing is he is still our best striker, and this is showing up how bad our squad building has been. If we are to sign him for an extra year, we really should be signing at least one new striker as well that is actually good enough to be our primary striker, Daka isnt it. We have got rid of Cannon so he will never be it either.
  2. Long balls to oppo box, and keep diving till get a pen.
  3. Side with the manager, if we are to clear out the squad, its now in our interests to make players unhappy so they easier to shift.
  4. I dont think one night a week is unreasonable, even with a baby.
  5. Enzo if he stayed we would have been fighting Southampton, the squad doesnt have the quality to play to his ideology in the EPL. He struggled with it enough last season, only winning many games by one goal as we had the better quality squad for the full game. Its sad to see so many still see him and his style of play as some kind of messiah. Even Pep has admitted its flawed when your opponent stops fearing you.
  6. The ppg, goals scored is a much smaller turd. Cooper also was also getting more of a tune out of Vardy, I dont think slow build up's has ever been something Vardy has liked.
  7. Still 15 mins beats nothing right? In my view we far easier to play against now. Too predictable and trying to play in a way above our squad's quality level.
  8. Or fans didnt understand, pragmatic means not being predictable and changing things from game to game if needed, we also know he gave players freedom, less tactical lock in. Unpredictable teams are also harder to play against.
  9. In which case we should have held fire on Cooper, if you not sure what you getting is a clear upgrade and the guy you got is so far keeping to his remit, you hold station. We apparently didnt even ask him though so will never know if would have got him.
  10. Some of us warned pragmatic was needed (which yes translates to less fashionable football). It has played out that way of course. Even those of us supporting Cooper would have understood the manager change if it was a sensible appointment like Moyes. But instead Top just did a man child on the whim change to a manager that he thought was "cool" whilst we were out of relegation and scoring goals.
  11. Thats what Luton thought? They got 26 points and look where they are now, we will be lucky to make 20, and forgotten how to score.
  12. PSR has been such a great cover for them.
  13. September my guess, in a competitive game, so excluding friendlies.
  14. Yeah I am factoring in goals scored as well, I cannot remember such a bad league run ever combined losses and no goals scored. Last 7 no goals scored. Last 10 2 goals scored. Last 15 4 goals scored. Hideous. I think the 4 goals were in three games so 12 out of 15 games no goals. If I can be bothered I will check other relegation seasons but I be surprised if I find any no goals for 7 games in a row.
  15. Can anyone here ever remember a worst run for us in their life time, I dont think there is one since I started supporting the club in "any" division. Am I wrong?
  16. This, but also I think we need to go back to basics on football as well. First team squad and manager needs gutting, but the usual question is that are Rudkin and Top capable.
  17. Ahh the days of optimism eh.
  18. Daka we would be lucky to get a million for. Soumare 3-6 million, BDR free, Ayew couple million, Ndidi 3-6 million, JJ 10 million, vesty 2-3 million, Faes 5-10 million, Mads 10-20 million. The quoted figures are what Rudkin does and as such can never sell anyone. I would keep Ayew providing he doesnt push for a move, as strikers are the hardest to buy, and his resale value is poor, plus wages not particularly high. Rest is fair game, but we deffo wont sell them all, Rudkin simply isnt capable, and I am not sure Top realises the size of the clearout needed. It will be hard to get a quality manager in, so either a veteran like warnock or lower league who will find us too enticing. I expect anyone upcoming and half decent will see Rudkin/Top as toxic to work with. I would also tell whoever the new manager is at least 4 named squad members are to come from youth setup, otherwise whats the point of it all.
  19. There will be players good enough in lower divisions and over seas, we need to really sort out recruitment, analytics, DoF etc. Wages need dropping sharply which gives head room for paying transfer fees. None of this is being fixed with Top and Rudkin in play.
  20. Great result for us, and 3 goals as well.
  21. We would have been where Southampton are as trying to play tippy tappy without a billion pound squad is suicidal in the EPL. He also wouldnt be signing players, thats Rudkin's job, the sensi shenanigans should remind you of that.
  22. Someone recently wrote in a BBC article, last home game the board present were red faced with embarrassment.
  23. No for the following reasons. 1 - Already proven disloyal. 2 - He contributed to our current problems with the style of play, Ruud has a similar ideology and the results show it for what it is. To all the people voting yes, we would be where Southampton are if Enzo stayed with us. Why do people keep putting style of play ahead of results and goals. Why are people still worshipping him?
  24. It can be done but it needs some balls, one of the reason the previous Arsenal DoF is highly rated is he forced players out from the club on massive wages like Ozil. He basically said you not welcome at the training ground any more **** off, and the player then had a dilemma to sit and home ending their career for the salary, or moving on, the targeted players chose to move on. Yes they want higher salaries, but they dont want to retire early either. We dont have the balls to play that poker game to get them out. It would also help if we actually accepted offers for players as well, we have turned down many offers for fringe players, because we have become obsessed with paper valuation.
  25. I dont know about the question specifically but I was seeing the writing on the wall for the finances the year before the FA cup win. Obviously when I posted about it, I was in a very small minority of people who recognised the problem at the time.
