hahahaha have we ever had more keepers in one of these photos?
-
won’t get the plaudits he deserves without the goals and assists unfortunately
-
I’ve posted this photo a few time because it really does highlight the talent that he has. Outrageous player that this level
-
I just love that they have a player called “whata burger”
-
on the contrary I think we will be stronger now than had we stayed up. In a parallel universe somewhere, doucoure shanks his effort wide, we stay in the prem and we waste a summer with dean smith. he would have rebuilt our squad to set up in a 631 against big sides and 4-2-4 for lesser sides. Relegation was the best thing that could have happened to us. It’s allowed us a full reset and we can worry about the next step when we get there.

love this team right now, not a player to worry about (excluding a currently underperforming highly talent loan player from chelsea) -
personally, i think wilf looks a little leggy today. I’d give yunus a go
-
Hamza and coady at the weekend for me, with vesty returning
-
Possibly our strongest team. Coady will need to be very good to keep vestergarde out at present
-
coady is obviously playing
-
i foolishly bet on arsenal, not realising the king would be playing
-
This game looks class. Shame its not on ps5
-
Only sign a player that we'd sign if we go up. Thats the rule really as we know we will get better in the summer. Otherwise focus on getting the players out who dont want to be here. Hopefully we are still looking sure things and theres no risk of players being poached.

Because sunday was their day off and they werent arsed about changing it after putting it together.

Absolutely. He has a strikers attitude. Which can be completely fine for some teams. Maybe even could have been for us at a certain time. But as part of a team conceding 68 goals, clearly more support was needed. I dont put the blame on him in the slightest though, it seems like he was instructed by Rodgers to be like that and he certainly did his part. But overall its refreshing to see players who want the ball and will go and seek it rather than sitting and wait for something to happen

I like to think im a patient fan and will give players the benefit of the doubt but I also feel that generally speaking, im usually quite accurate with my assessments. I can look past results and individual errors but what we saw from wilf was different, it didnt feel like it was just form, or just fitness, it felt like he just wasnt physically capable of what he did before. Ive never been more wrong about a player. I honestly just couldnt in any capacity see that he could improve, I genuinely thought physically he was finished. Which clearly he's not. But whats more surprising is how well he's adapting his game. I just dont understand how he's the same player.... well thats an odd statement because usually thats when someone changes form, but this is a completely new wilf and its nothing weve seen from him before. It couldnt happen to a nicer guy and im very happy to have been proven wrong.

Not just those 3, Faes is looking so much more composed. KDH shows a true understanding of his role. Wanya clearly went on leaps and bounds and its a real shame that this contract situation is damaging his opportunity. But the biggest one and it might sound daft... but Vardy is back. To motivate a 37 year old to get back to his best is something truly amazing from a coach. This isnt just a case of weaker opposition. Most of the bottom half of the prem are equally as bad as what weve faced... this is someone who understands the role and has been able to roll back the years. He will never be peak again at this age, but southampton and yesterday show that he is back doing what he loves.
-
Feels like we are going back to a certain type. All 3 of the new wingers not only have flair but have a real tenacity, they work for the team in a way that we never got with Barnes. Im never going to complain about Harvey because he was a wonderful talent but there are always players that suit a top team that doesnt require the work rate and Harvey is one of those guys. When you are at our level, you will always need extra work from everyone in order to be successful.

it’s the ones you set up where it’s technically 15 or more individual bets with the individual variations. but you set it up as one bet. So basically if i get 6 out of 8 correct i’ll probably just win a small pot a little more than you stake, get 7 and you get a nice profit get 8 and you get 200x the stake or similar. Assuming you’re going for favourites. I’ve always been tempted to do draw ones as even 6/9 would make you a fortune
-
anyone else do 6/8 or 6/9 type accumulators? i quite like that it’s a bit of a free hit at a big payout. many times i seem to just be one short but almost always seem to hit the minimum this way.
-
i got decent odds on sunderland considering how poor wednesday are
-
Probably a good outcome then. Or at least it’s much better than an ACL seagrave is improving

whilst there are clearly bigger systematic issues we have as a club, this statement completely rules out the value of any manager. You can give a bad manager the best players in the world and they will still fail. There is a very key role to be had to get the best out of people and help them improve. We are currently ignoring the ‘coach’ part of the job. I do agree results aren’t important but what’s important is the style of play, the improvement of individuals and the freedom for the players to grow. If the manager is asking the players to do the wrong things and isn’t getting the right philosophy into them then it is completely damaging. They need to learn how to win and how to play smart in games where they are up against more talented players. With Petty it seems like this is way above his level and that’s going to hold back players. We can’t just sit back and say that it’s fine. Man city went out and found an enzo… someone who they knew they could also grow as a coach to become an assistant because they identified someone who was a top tier coach. Petty isn’t someone who could ever make a step up and that’s where we are going wrong. This job should be a revolving door, we get someone up and coming into the post, they out grow it and leave and then we do it again. That’s honestly what we need, not a comfortable job to sit on with no measured targets.
