  1. Also looking for one (or two) for this. Thanks! edit: meet at the stadium.
  2. Yes please 🔵⚪️
  3. Scraped together the money to travel back early from San Francisco to be back in time for the play off final in 2013. Travelled mainly by bus to New York for the final leg of the journey just in time to watch Deeney wheel away… the flight back from NYC was a little flat after that.
  4. As mentioned above, it might be that your son is set on watching Real but, if not, I'd highly recommend considering one of the other Madrid based teams to watch a match. Atleti's stadium is great and they offer really good (and affordable) hospitality packages too. Otherwise, as mentioned above, watching Vallecano or Leganes will be a really unique and interesting experience. Even buying things like shirts would be far less expensive and a bit more interesting when he gets home. You don't see too many Vallecano or Laganes shirts around. You could then do a stadium tour of the Bernabeu so your son can experience it. Madrid is a lovely city! You'll have a great time.
  5. Went there after the 0-9! Highly recommended. Although, I think anything would have tasted sweet that night.
  6. I remember the Saints fans "ole"-ing at the end of the 1st half with them 2-0 up and looking comfortable... Vardy wiped the smiles off their faces. Had some good away days at Southampton in recent years (minus last year and the year after winning the title).
  7. He is brilliant. The Hillsborough strip is fantastic. You can vote for him here: https://thefsa.org.uk/news/nominations-open-for-2022-fsa-awards/ I'd love to see him beat The Athletic.
  8. A key pillar in the foundation of the club’s most successful era. Inspirational levels of commitment. Intelligent. Articulate. A leader. He’ll be missed. But will be forever thankful of the time together. Bonne chance, Kasper.
  9. Signed. The relationship between football and the gambling industry is evidently dangerous. Greater regulation is required to help reduce the number of those afflicted by this addiction in the future. Greater resources should be made available to those already trapped.
  10. I suspect that’s season ending
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jul/31/leicester-city-women-ready-for-baptism-of-fire-in-wsl Nice write up from Louise Taylor.
  12. You'd be amazed how simple football player/manager contracts are. Pro forma template agreements that can be turned in hours if necessary. That's not to say that the club haven't been thinking about this for longer.
  13. I don’t think Youri had his best match but for what it’s worth speaking to Brighton fans in the queue for the train after the match they all thought YT and Soyuncu were the best players they’ve seen down at the Amex. Soyuncu was immense. He is really becoming one of the best defenders going. Overall, clinical if not spectacular. Always tricky after an international break. Especially against a team who were less disrupted than us. Great result. A little rest this week and then fresh and ready for Everton. This team is an absolute joy to watch at the moment!
  14. Lewes Arms and Gardners Arms are also worth a go. The Dorset is good for a cheaper pint and the beer is well looked after. The only pub to avoid is The Volunteer.
