  1. Inconsistent, slow at reading the game and far too lazy. has potential but will need to step his game up monumentally to get there.
  2. Supersports variety 1
  3. youri is an amazing player without a shadow of a doubt but before I get shot down, I don’t believe that he has improved massively since his loan spell. he has better players around him now, then when he first joined on loan, so it becomes easier for him. my point is in 2.5 years of playing at roughly the same standard (just my opinion), there has not been serious interest in him and most of the big clubs in Europe have recruited in midfield during this time. Hopefully for us the top elite clubs continue to dismiss signing him and we enjoy him at our club for many years to come.
  4. Hope it’s us in for Moriba, he’s a very good player already but has massive potential
  5. I think Tammy is underrated to be honest, he’s 23 and has a very good goal to games ratio in his career. he played 2 seasons in the championship and scored 48 goals in 78 games and then has scored 29 goals in 90 prem games. If he was a championship player or unknown with that goals to game ratio and at that age I think people would be more positive to sign him. I would take a chance on him as he is a completely different striker to what we have at the club, I would also take a chance on Adam Armstrong as I think he is a lethal finisher and has great off the ball movement.
  6. Is that marlon wayan? 😂
  7. With the announcements of Wes, Fuchs and Matty James all leaving at the end of the season, and with also kingy gone last season, we will have lost some key characters that are true professionals and they have been a major part in our clubs ethics, values and success. We will need a new core of players to step up and replace these players with regards to those mental attributes etc.. .
  8. Legend and hope he is kept involved in the club
  9. Class player and a first class human being, proud he played for us.
  10. Great post. I feel that youth football as a whole in this country has to change its mentality. The scouts look at physical attributes in a far more favourable way than technical attributes, and the same can be said for many coaches too. A lot of teams have players pigeon holed into positions because it gives them a better chance of winning etc.. from as young as 6 year olds. By having set positions for kids at that age, how can they learn the game or what it takes to play in other positions? They can’t. Results are not important in developing players, and you can still be competitive.
  11. no your right about Mahrez and vardy, but he’s definitely not a Diabate, I’m sure the top European clubs wasn’t scouting him when we signed him. keep the positivity up mate
  12. Different position and type of player mate, but even if it did turn out the same way as Kaputska, I would not be overly disappointed that we took a chance on a young player with serious potential. after all we spent a fortune on Silva and slimani who were both experienced internationals at supposedly their peak that didn’t work out, so I would prefer the model of trying to buy and develop young players with potential.
  13. Would like us to go for someone like aleksander buksa from wisla, my polish mate has been raving about him. he turned 18 last month and is highly rated, wolves wanted to sign him last month, inter, barcelona and a whole host of top European clubs are after him. similar style of forward to haaland. at 18 we could improve his game massively.
  14. probably more than likely
  15. everyone is available for the right deal
  16. Wonder if we are still trying to get a deal for mainland-niles, as it appears his loan move to WBA isn’t a formality
  17. Terrible team selection and a terrible performance.
  18. Think it might of been Darius adamczyk
  19. On our day we are really good side, but that is the problem. we are a soft side to play against and if the opposition score the first goal it’s pretty much shut up shop against us because we are not direct or penetrative enough. we must have the most inconsistent player performances in the league. Yes not having a full strength side to pick from doesn’t help.
  20. I think collymore is right, the scouts have become lazy and prejudiced at the level that they watch, for example most academy or pre academy scouts watch only level 1/ level 2 games to identify talent. yes their are skill camps etc or recommendations, but at the younger age groups, the parents have influence in where their child plays and at what level. I believe pro clubs should have several teams in each age groups, to support the development of a larger base of players, this would only increase the standard of grassroots football. I know there is a cost to this but there are thousands of coaches that voluntarily give up their free time at local clubs that could work in tandem with pro clubs that do not have the finances available for this type of thing. There are many youngsters not in level 1 or 2, that are at least on par with these standard players, but unfortunately their opportunity to be spotted is reduced.
  21. Thought he looked good last night in his brief time playing, surprising to see how well he played in that 10 role and thought he worked hard out of possession too. Give him 4-6 weeks more adjusting to his teammates, tactics, culture and English football, and I can see him becoming a very important player for us.
  22. He was excellent today considering how little competitive football at this level that he has played in the last 2 years. looks good in a back 3 but would he be as comfortable as a 2 pairing cb, hope so.
  23. I asked a Grimsby fan about this but he was a bit koi on the subject.
