  1. Been a long time since I was a regular user of FT but I just wanted to say that many, many moons ago I worked at LCFC as an 18 year old Waiter in the catering team. Luckily for me I was based on the ground floor in the media room so got to know a lot of the regular journalists in there, Nev being one and he was always the kindest, friendliest bloke and always had time for a bit of a chat before and after games with one of, let’s face it, “the help”, before the manager came in for the press conference or he had to zip off for an interview somewhere He took time to show me how his job all worked behind the scenes and of course we’d chat about Leicester’s plight in the league. The man was an absolute gent and I was saddened to hear of his passing. May you rest in peace Nev, thank you for spending some of your time with a young LCFC fan who was definitely overstepping the boundaries of his role in his work at the club.
  2. God that’s a throwback and a half, I was in Primary School when that happened! (unless it’s happened again recently, I don’t live in Leicester anymore)
  3. Jean Claude Scran Damne
  4. Whilst I’m not a fan he did sell out Wembley for 4 nights this year and 3 or four last year too
  5. That’s a stunning beach
  6. Well that was a few minutes of life I’m never getting back. What absolute wet-wipe wrote that
  7. To be honest, it doesn’t seem like there’s much of an appetite for a kick about so far but I’ll leave it a few weeks and see how we go….
  8. I spend 50% of my time in central London for work (including Monday on night sadly) but now I know there’s a “Leicester” pub in town… give me something else to do between shifts. as a bit of a side track, would any of you London foxes be up for some casual 5-a-side football? I could hire a pitch and set up a game on Footyaddicts (app) over the coming weeks if there is any interest…?
  9. Brown badge aside, I quite like this seasons kit. I do love a collar. Adidas has no say over who the sponsor is which is also pretty poor - King Power or almost anything else would have looked better - and had this season not been so appalling then I think it would have looked a lot better.
  10. His family say how great he is and that he had the warmest heart, yet this guy ran into the pitch 10mins into the game, attacked Grealish from behind. Subsequently said his 4 week stay in prison was the best month of his life and was sent down a second time later on….. no loss to society in my book https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/21720017/footie-fan-punch-grealish-dead/amp/
  11. Any streams available for this someone could PM me?
  12. Ah it’s okay - I mentioned it to a mate at work today and it turns out he wanted to have a bash at it and he’s done one for me
  13. I know this is off topic but I’m asking for your design skills and another 5minute mock up if you could do me a favour please?…. I’ve got a load of mates coming over for the England v Wales game next week, including two Welsh guys - I’d like to create an “Away End” in my living room for them (two old wooden stools) is there any chance you could design me a Welsh flag but instead of the dragon, replace it with a red donkey? Would be much appreciated if you could
  14. Fulham use honesty flags (I do a bit of work down there) usually just plain old black and which chequered pattern or maybe their badge - I don’t look at them too much to be honest. Fans can then dump them back into big wheelie bins on their way out - some get pinched but I don’t think the club are too bothered. Most people just wave them as the teams come out and then for goals. I don’t think they take away from any atmosphere they create to be honest.
  15. Organised a students vs teachers game in about year 10. Played myself up front. Hit my own crossbar defending a corner but managed to score two. Dickhead Dave on my team said I only scored them because I was in the right place at the right time… well obviously other than that I’ve always been gash at football.
  16. Depending which side of London and how you plan to commute, Reading or the surrounding villages/towns is perfect don’t rule out Wokingham for example and there’s a shed load of country side and stuff to do, easy commutes into town etc - I’m never coming back to Leicester that’s for sure
  17. Been a few cocktails since but my last pint was a few days ago after scuba diving for the first time in St Lucia. if you think I’m putting this here to show off. You’re correct.
  18. Apparently (according to the Londoners I live amongst) Bald = bauld Bold = bold
  19. I’ve been pronouncing “bald” in the same way as you’d say “bold” and got pellets for it recently. I also can pronounce the name of a Nissan Qashqai - always end up stumbling over it and saying something like quash-koi, cash-cow, kumquat etc
  20. Wouldn’t mind being the little sausage in a royal sandwich with both to be fair
  21. You see, I seem to have gone then other way, I moved away in 2013 and, tragically, gave up my ST in the 15/16 season 💀 After the glory of that season, and with work taking over a bit I started to drift away from football, it was only doing a bit of work at Wembley statium during Euro 2020, and being in a live crowd again that bought the love back. I will admit that the stop/start nature of Premier League football is incredibly frustrating: players feigning injuries, kicking balls away, VAR etc… I’m hearing segments on Talksport where they are measuring the amount of open play in games at at low as 45min it’s in some cases. It’s that that puts me off top flight football. But then I see non-league, the women’s game - even sunday league in the park and I realise it’s not the game that’s getting harder to watch, but just the top end of it. Another thing I’ve noticed is that the Sky editors seem more intent to show us the close up view of players making a run, so you can’t see the teams shape, or a close up of the manager standing there with his arms folded, or a close up of some people in the crowd (football fans are ugly by the way). The seem to want to show us anything but a view from the main camera which provides a view similar to what you would have in the stadium - and all that makes it hard to watch on tv too.
  22. Could someone send me a stream please?
  23. If you didn’t know the ultimate result of this match you’d think Leicester had lost and Stockport won based on the almost-monosyllabic responses from the Leicester fan there 🤣🤣🤣
  24. Full fight is on Sky’s YouTube page if you (like me) had to settle for radio. https://youtu.be/hIe-xGb1y14
