With constant links to wingers could it not be that 4 will be used every game, as in 2 start with the instruction to run hard these are then replaced at the 60-70min mark the next 2 come on full of beans to continue the press on tiring defenders. Then the following week the 2nd pair start and repeat? Zaha going full throttle then bringing on Mavi (vice verse) will keep the opposition fullback on his toes. Slightly weaker on the other side but still same thought process.

Ohh I hear you happened where I live 10minutes walk from an 18 hole course now 400 homes, to their credit they did add a school but local road infrastructure and other amenities remain the same, with an additional 400->1600 (what ever it could be) new bodies trying to use the same GP and Dentist surgeries for example. Trouble is the new bolt on plans for homes will always effect the existing communities as facilities are taken away, usually leisure, but road, health, school & shops remain the same. Can only think it’s easier to purchase and get planning on these areas than breaking green belt so targeted first 🤷‍♂️

I see the locals of Ratby and Blaby are kicking off over housing plans in the area, never an issue until it affects you personally I guess. Truth is 1.5m homes in the next 5 years will see a lot of green land swallowed up as villages become towns & towns into cities. A striker needs service and we are currently devoid of providing, Mav & Fat are supposed to support the lone striker to make a 2 but BOTH would rather cut in and take a shot on, even Vardy struggles he might only have 3 touches in a half. Cannon needs a start if he is staying for the season and allow him to build his game, he currently gets 15min here or there yet still gets more shots away than the other strikers, obviously he needs to do more but can we say he’s getting a proper chance from the start with the better players around him? If we had an abundance of strikers then yes get out on loan otherwise he’s just marking time and not progressing if we don’t play him.

(I also blame players but on here seems it’s all about the manager) Saying all that I agree that Rudkin is an issue and that part of the business needs a refresh also, ideally that should have been done at the start of last season.

i think the key take away from that is not 'Obligation to buy' but the 'young player acquisition strategy' or as we know it 'the lets hoover up any teenager showing an ounce of footballing ability so we can stunt their growth but still flip for an inflated profit with the stamp of a top 6 stable on their collar despite probably never kicking a 1st team ball scheme' It's funny that Enzo commented this morning saying its PSR's fault clubs need to sell academy players & how he would love to see 1 club players, wouldn't we all Enzo but surely it's not PSR that is making clubs spend £1bn on proven talent only to be offset by selling your academy players, your coaches...coach!

It’s the Liverpool way, they dismissing offers & want 2 or 3 times the offer and for players that haven’t played a snr game or in the case of Clark just 94 snr minutes that 1 week Klopp was forced to use the kids but we didn’t hear the last of, they want offers north of £12m. Another is Van den Berg who hasn’t played a single Liverpool minute despite being 22 yet they will only entertain bids over £20m despite only buying him for €1.5m 3/4yrs ago. So yes they not letting Fabio go for less than 25m & probably more like £30m

See Guy Porter has retired aged 27 due to issues around concussions 🤕 Just getting into his peak years and a cracking player for us but that last injury took its toll and after discussions with the neurologists he’s probably wisely decided to not renew his contract and end the game.
