  1. I guess we shouldn’t mention their thoughts on prisons either
  2. I think yourself and maybe @leicsmac believe I condone his actions with my post & let’s clear that up straight away, of course I don’t. My post is more a musing of why he could be doing it, planting seeds & expecting the world to rush to his feet begging for scraps if industries grind to a halt. The seed planting for sure has landed, you wouldn’t be much of a leader if you didn’t take notice of how quickly that channel of water can be blocked & easily defended, it will be the same for the Suez Canal. I’m sure there will be plenty of countries now looking to see if they need to shift a few eggs into different baskets & if they do which 2 countries are likely to benefit? It’s to soon to see which way the rest of the world sways but a seed has been planted for sure, 1 way or the other.
  3. Far from it, I’m merely trying to understand his thought process despite him suggesting he was doing it for the good of the Iranian people. Do you honestly believe that ‘The Man’ as in those with power and money really care about us little guys still?
  4. If his objective was to plant a seed of doubt about where / how Europe & Asia gets its goods then he has achieved it. If the US now get more orders for oil, gas, raw materials, fertilisers etc off the back of this it’ll go down as a master stroke, end of the day preserving human life is not the aim it’s about making money, clearing US debt and overall control. I would not be at all surprised if Putin appears in the plan & picks up Asia requirements with the US getting Europe, stripping money & control away from the Middle East, after preplanned talks with Trump and him going down as stopping another war…win win for US & Russia. We are just ♟️in their💃🕺
  5. Yeah I had a hunch we did but guess that was a case of come back and see me in the summer as I want to see the job through with Lincoln 1st from him. Sadly now I think chance has passed us by.
  6. I wonder what he does do as he must have caught the eye of many clubs, clubs who will have bigger resources for him to work with than Lincoln. Loyalty will probably have a bearing in his decision but if he stays & it does go wrong for them, would he have the same clubs looking at him after? Hard but nice choice for him to have in summer.
  7. I’ve obviously spent to long on a football pitch instead of in the classroom
  8. Today does not help his cause to reach the top for sure.
  9. I will leave it there safe in the knowledge that your an armchair coach
  10. Wot r u on about, no one is saying there would have been a looped header to the front post i’m saying “what if” whilst (in another game if it makes it easier) the keeper is marking the centre to back post (because you are accusing him of being in a wrong starting position) and the opposition player poked a foot or & i’ll use the word ,bullets, a header to the front post side and scores…..that would be the keepers fault because that is the area ‘any’ keeper should be protecting at a corner. I’m questioning your understanding of which area of the goal you believe a keeper should be protecting on a corner because he can’t be responsible for the entire 192m2 himself
  11. Yeah I’m sure it was as it took goals from Vestergaard and then the 1 where Faes came on to boos & scored with his 1st touch then cupped his ear to crowd
  12. Wasn’t Charles man of the match when we played at ours?
  13. Omd’s a keepers starting position for a corner coming from either side will be to cover the area centre to the near post (facing ball side)….it is then the outfield player assigned to the back post responsibility to cover the back post, Simpson made a career of being this player. As a btw, I’ve not mentioned a looped ball to the near post, I’m saying if Jakob was covering centre to back post (where he would have got this particular header yes) & that header was not looped but flush on a forehead and it goes near post and in would you then be saying why was Jakub covering the back post?
  14. I think it’s because a player only has to miss control a ball once for our fan base to write him off as shite. It’s not rocket science, when there’s doom and gloom coming from every angle it breeds through a club & you won’t get the best version of that player. Look when players go away on International duty you often hear them speak about being in a different environment lifts them away from the noise & they can relax and enjoy themselves which shows in how they play. I’ll use Thomas as an example, the abuse he gets and labelled Lge 2 at best, what a load of old crap, the lad has played in the premier league at an early age which puts him in the top % of all footballers in that age group at that time, but no, Leicester fans have labelled him as crap & crap he will be in their eyes until he leaves. Like it or not a vast majority of feel good will come from the stands, the last 15mins or so v Preston when the crowd really rallied, the players responded to that & you could tell the disappointment in their faces they didn’t get the win during the walk around after but also they wanted to walk around because the crowd was behind them they wanted to feel that. Providing Rowett doesn’t make wholesale changes I imagine they will come out like they finished the Preston game & what ever happens then could really hinge on how the crowd reacts, although it is an away crowd which are usually good regardless but you get the idea.
  15. That too is very true & it probably reinforces the need to not hang on to players and recycle every 3yrs regardless of who they are. Problem is those 2 names Kasper & Jamie are what Leicester City were all about for the 12yrs or so before they left, so maybe exceptions to the rule.
  16. Please don’t read this as me sticking up for the board or have me labelled as a happy clapper & not solely aimed at your post as it’s been mentioned before, but….. someone getting a shot in a team is all about timing, huh I hear you mutter? Ok, why do you think we have let keepers go in the past? Maybe a certain Kasper has something to do with it. We got him in 2011 or something like that and he left in 2022 playing 479 games for us with most of them consecutive. So, are we talking about keepers we have let go between those 2 years or keepers that have gone since? If since you’re talking about Danny Ward & Iverson with Mads having to be sold, so we have let better keepers go in the past you refer to those 2? If in between no other keeper was pushing Kasper out the way, do we all agree? Of those keepers in between, we’ll say Johansson as I imagine it’s him most refer to, he left 2yrs prior to Kasper leaving, never played a 1st team game & like Iverson left at the end of a contract with no sign of pushing Kasper out. In the words of highlander, there can be only 1, a keepers career can quickly pass them by and imagine there are loads that only have a handful of games, take our own Logan a 20yr+ career & he played far less games in its entirety than Kasper did for just us, he even played for Denmark a 3rd of the amount of times of Logan’s entire career. Johansson had to make a call as did Iverson, neither are better than Mads btw who jumped Iverson to be Denmarks #1 & Johansson is out the picture for Sweden despite being in his prime. So as for Leicester City not being very good with keepers we had Kasper & Mads covering 12 of the past 14 seasons with only the forgettable 2022-23 which Iverson didn’t really step up and make his own & the current 1 🤷‍♂️
  17. 🙄 I’m talking about what ifs 🤦‍♂️ You’re suggesting here that a goalkeeper knows where the flight of the ball will go in the 2nd phase of a corner, if they did there wouldn’t be as many/any goals from corners. There is nothing wrong with his position, just left of centre (for him) with a man on the back post, he is protecting the centre & near post with Ricardo protecting the back, no keeper can protect the entire goal, unless Olivier Rioux switched basketball for soccer (cos he’s Canadian)
  18. With many players leaving we should try and get Michael Skubala & allow him to build a team from stretch. I wonder what he will do thou, season in the sun for loyalty or jump ship whilst stock is high.
  19. Not sure the angles we see or any still photo gives a true picture of how he wasn’t getting that, looped well over him & out of his reach, Ricardo more at fault for moving if someone has to be blamed🤷‍♂️ All to easy to lay blame on any situation but if he was further to his right and the header puts it to his left the call is keeper beaten at his near post. Same for the Ben mix up, had the attacker beaten Ben to the bounce and got through on goal, the shout would be where’s the keeper.
  20. Think I would rather Oxford beat Pompey as long as we get the win also as we would stay ahead of Oxford on goal difference but be 2 clear of Pompey & sit in 21st. Pompey still have the game in hand all be it against Ipswich but if they beat Oxford & maybe get a draw at Ipswich it puts them 2 clear of us so we would always be playing catch up instead of fending off.
  21. Despite who surrounds him he is far from ready to jump straight to the top currently, which top 5 side in the premier league (I have removed Spurs obviously) or which top 2 in Germany or Spain? He’s only 22 so has time on his side but he needs to develop a hell of a lot himself and not be dragged up by other players around him (in a better team) to state he’s going straight to the top. An example of the type of player who is going straight to the top with his next move is 19yr old Yan Diomande who is everything we thought Fatawu would be. If you look at them in isolation Diomande is streets ahead of Fatawu in every facet…..it is this type of player who will go straight to the top and stay there, not a player, as good as we see he can be, like Fatawu. You can tell me it’s players around him but it’s a players own decision making that sets the great from the good. He needs to choose his next step carefully because he’s not ready to start for a premier top 5 side currently.
  22. Invested in who? Anyone who’s anyone will go to the only 4 decent teams in the WSL & anyone else you might of heard of & probably on their way down anyway will want extended contracts on silly wages….& I think, I think we didn’t like that model 🤷‍♂️
  23. Get bukket ya dad needs a shite…
  24. There was a decent crowd at Villa park but support for Sarries v Northampton at Tottenham Hotspur stadium is massive for a club game. Bristol v Quinn’s we’re also well supported at the principality stadium
  25. I understand a manager would want to look at a few fringe players thinking about injuries but a lot of that 35 man squad would be 3rd or even 4th choice what really is the point, we should be cementing who England are going to be (Identity) not still experimenting 75 days before the start of a World Cup 🤦‍♂️
