  1. It was a hollow facade that stood up whilst we were making correct decisions. The longer I think about it the more I realise that they never held the fans in high regard but just got very lucky/made good choices which masked it.
  2. Couple of trophies have masked the fact that players and staff were fed up with the football. That'll be his undoing there; they're used to winning stuff but the football being tedious will eventually erode the good will.
  3. It makes my piss boil seeing Soumare in the squad list.
  4. We are a ****ing shambles
  5. When has that ever stopped him.
  6. This is like looking back on your youth and remembering how great it was to get up without grunting. No going back I'm afraid.
  7. Worst signing we've ever made, I think. Cost more than Akinbiyi accounting for inflation. Shit in every single game. Doesn't try - Ade gave it his all and wasn't good enough. Honking attitude. Refused to play for us. Thinks he's better than he is and he's shitter than literally every midfield player over the last ten years. Honestly can't wait until he's gone. I'm going to go to Seagrave when he leaves and give him a volley of ****s on the way out.
  8. Weale! Absolutely brilliant until he dropped a clanger and just lost confidence.
  9. Ancelloti is just a dream for us now. He'd have snapped our hands off when he left Everton. I know you meant rangers, for avoidance of doubt, but it is a sad indictment of how we've fallen that rangers have now more chance than us.
  10. This is so plausible. You can see the thinking - well we just look great so he must be able to sustain this. Without looking that Rodgers hasn't got a record in improving on his successful teams and that, generally, they're in regression after two and a half years.
  11. We're approaching the point where we're the club he's spent the most time at and made the most appearances for in his career. How the **** has that happened.
  12. The last goal scored in the old Wembley nets before they were replaced with more modern designs for Euro 96.
  13. I had consigned that to the memory vault. In a week I was at Walsall, Everton, AND Arsenal for perhaps three of the worst games to have seen back to back to back. For three very different reasons.

    Daka

He knows he'll never get this wage again. He'll stay until the end of his contract and leave on a free to someone like Legia Warsaw.
  15. Last I heard he was being coerced into fighting invaders on Arrakis with Paul Atredies.
  16. Have we not learnt about trading downwards - we took the defence of a team we pumped 9-0 and got a defensive line that reflected that. We're taking the manager of a team who has a claim to be the worst Premier League team of all time. We're going to get that in kind.
  17. Has anyone suggested Nigel ****ing Pearson yet. Chase the dragon one more time.
  18. I don't know enough to make any informed comment but I do know enough to say that when it comes down to this type of shit - financial scrutiny impacting sporting equality - then the competition isn't about sporting endeavour but about accounting chicanery. For a nation who have always prized sporting prowess and an underdog story we should be ****ing ashamed. And it extends beyond our own troubles. Any football club looking to compete is now sent a message. Try to excel and you'll pay the price. It's only a pyramid in name now.
  19. Why not both
  20. All emotion aside. Has any other owner presided over such a big climb and fall, complete with player arc Vardy style, in any other sport? As shit as it is and will continue to be for some while - they've certainly written one hell of a story.
  21. The biggest travesty is that he should have retired here. That would have been marginally less shit.
  22. There's probably some stage of researched grief but I'm not ready for this. I have been trying not to think too much about it since Sunday but I am absolutely not ready to look back. It's enough looking forward. It's only a center forward leaving a football team but my ****ing word I'm going to miss watching Jamie Vardy play football for Leicester. It might even have impacted how much I enjoy watching football full stop.
  23. Haha did it really? I cannot imagine him getting upset.
  24. This is rubbish. Can't believe it. Proper teenage sulk on today.
  25. That was as good a goodbye as we could have hoped. "Yeah, I feel alright." See ya, Jamie.
