Haven't seen this double touch on any replay I have been exposed to. Can anyone post a clarifying video?

Yeah. It's pretty. Graham does a good enough job. The dialogue lets him down because it's trying to be something it isn't.

I think he just viewed politics as a team sport. It really isn't and you should be able to criticise any given government because they're not special people in any capacity. He just couldn't handle the fact that his team were crooked and rotten.

A Thousand Blows is passable. The dialogue style of Tommy Shelby declarative style wisdom is tedious though. The repetition style - 'I look in the mirror and I see a man. The man I see is not me. The man I see is not me and I am not that man' style that Peaky drifted into towards the end was only tolerable because of how well Peaky built itself up in terms of characterisation. Even then, half of it was boring in Peaky too. Here it feels like the show takes itself way more seriously than it deserves and it comes across as boring. These characters have had no development to trade upon so all this statement-esque assured speech where you repeat and point things out in transparent psuedo metaphor is just clumsy.

Did Geoff Peters ever return? I seem to remember he got extremely defensive about the Tory party when they were ruining themselves and dug in about them then disappeared.

It means you are very, very poorly.

Ian Marshall posting some more wildly right wing stuff on Facebook recently.

I'm tired of watching this. It's as bad as it's ever been in terms of football and that's normal. Football is cyclical. It's not as bad as terms of my actual engagement with the club. It hates me and I'm beginning to think that I should hate it. What a sad, sad state.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14423865/amp/Tottenham-broadcasters-Premier-League.html Another small but significant step in the Americanisation of the English football tradition. Unsurprisingly it's the NFL Spurs Sports collective that are desperately lurching away from the English tradition of local sports institutions. It's difficult to identify with a team named after a local and specific geographic location but it's easier to promote (and geographically move) a franchised brand. If you still think they the Premier League isn't intentionally Americanising itself through language and conduct then you're a gormless freak.

No sensing it. Got us relegated under Rodgers then asked Maresca for a loan out because he didn't feel like he ought to be playing in the championship.

I caught the tail end of the Pleat 'administration' and witnessed a pretty toxic Filbo. It was ugly down there at that point, before Little came in and made things hopeful. I've also seen the end the O'Niell era leading into Levein and negative Meg. What's the worst it's been for you all?

Dunno about leadership but he showed his character there. The rest of them scuttling down the tunnel was embarrassing.. Coady really needs to have a look at himself. The mouthpiece of the players running off when they've collectively shit the bed isn't a great look. Your match going fans have paid a huge percentage of their disposable income to watch that crap. Be accountable.

Always been a hero of mine. I love Kingeh. I'm not sure I don't feel sad that he's tied himself to this currently sinking ship, however.
-
I'm sad that's happened but I also don't think football should be sanitized. Ear plugs?

Ave Maria and Walking on Sunshine (wooaahh)

I disagree. Rodgers was exceptionally close to achieving it. We needed someone above him with a harder hand on steering it. But I can understand others might not think that.

That's good. OPA for Radio Leicester will be interviewing the training ground staff with a think piece on synthetic grass.

Breaking eggs and omelettes. They will absolutely ignore all forms of protest until it gets into the media and wider footballing community. It simply won't permeate without an edge. Agree about the **** reference but until the atmosphere is unignorable it will be ignored. See Rodgers.

The gambling on Rodgers was the right thing to do. It was the lack of nouse during that time - Ryan Bennet springs to mind. Not enough experience outside of LCFC was hired in to do a job that was extremely difficult. Lack of leadership.
