I'd disagree, Bovril. People are making a conscious choice to copy it because they think it sounds cool. End of last school year there were some A-Level students in a local boozer going about what Minor and Majors they were going to do at Universities. They all must have known that's not what happens as they'd have had to applied. People just think it sounds cool. It gives them a thrill. I remember when Brendan Rodgers as at Liverpool. One broadcaster picked up on the 'Quarterback' nonesense and instantly it was everywhere. Sadly, people want to sound American because it's the langauge of the media they consume. There is a lot of overlooking of the fact that he really isn't a center-forward. We got what we signed in terms of goal output. He's a wide-man who we've given the number nine and expected to do number nine things. The reality is we signed an aging wide-man whose best days are behind him and expected him to perform like a centerforward. He's a sympton but not the cause. That being said, I'm not going to be overwhelmed with sadness when he's no longer with us.
