  1. I don’t completely understand why you having such a go at Skipp? You prefer Winks, but blimey yesterday Winks was absolutely pathetic - for such an experienced talented c m he had no effect on the game at all . To me he seems to play within himself most of the time. Skipp gave 100% all game, and a few games ago we all saw some consistency to his performances. The concussion interrupted his improvement. With hindsight , I’d have rather had Page on yesterday instead of Winks- at least we’d have got some youthful energy and spark from Page.
  2. Useless / invisible
  3. Winks ball watching again
  4. Sorry, but have to disagree. I don’t think people are claiming it was a great revival ( or will be). Just that it was encouraging to see some fight and decent attacking with 10 men including our youngsters. Charlton hadn’t completely taken their foot off the pedal- they couldn’t handle us for the first 15 mins of the 2nd half up to the pen , and you could see Nathan Jones flapping. Had the pen gone in, he knew we would have our tails up and might then get a second. i didn’t see the SU game, but understand from comments on here that we played well in that second half and had chances to get a third. So you’ll telling me that their players and their manager were happy and comfortable to let us attack and control the second half - nonsense. Yesterday was crap- 2 poor teams and Andy is not the next manager for me. We need an experienced motivator urgently, to somehow raise our physicality and team spirit.
  5. Better that any of Charlton’s players by a mile? Hmm, not sure about that
  6. Never understood why players do it. The striker isn’t bound to score and we might just get a covering defender back in time or keeper pulls off a great block. Even if not it’s only 1-0 and plenty of time left in the game, with 11 on the pitch and at home against another struggling side. Grrrr!
  7. No they didn’t. They were crap. Their plan from the start was to lump it up to their 2 giant forwards. Second half they should’ve gone on and put us to the sword knowing we’re a club with no fight, no confidence and key players injured. Early 2nd half and with the pen they were panicking. Did they even have a decent shot on our goal second half? 2 crap teams. We need a manager in asap/ Andy’s not the man
  8. Well I suppose the weekend has ended on a brighter note after yesterday’s shambles
  9. No. Too inexperienced and wouldn’t get the respect from these players. Looking at our midfield players, who could we say he might have improved any to date- maybe an improvement and a bit of consistency from Skipp? That’s it.
  10. He was at fault for their first goal though - failed to watch his man. Still, did well for his age and in a shit team . Good energy and should play next game.
  11. Dreadful. Page did well and one of best of very bad bunch, but he lost his man for their 1st goal. I’m not blaming him for the defeat, but if they had not scored so early the game would have probably panned out differently. Please get some loan players in this week- they had some from prem clubs and it showed.
  12. I just fear some of our lot not fancying running in to that wind - if they don’t then that was our good half!
  13. Good post - and should Andy King take some of the blame for in game management? He seems to be in MCs ear at different points in the game
  14. So difficult after such a good first half in which I thought they all did well
  15. I’m not having a dig, but we did go for a second goal in the first half?
  16. He lost it - quick to flash the yellow cards at us, but what about the foul by their sub on JM as he turned and was free to run down our left at the edge of their box? A definite yellow and a great opportunity denied. Ref did well with their 2 penalty shouts though
  17. He was crap last 15 minutes
  18. There was also “Jeremy Monga” and “One of our own L P” several times too.
  19. Eh up mate, I like a good garden centre me! Must have a good cafe though and home made scones. I’d boycott if I was an ST holder and think it’s time for Top to sell and Marti to go - some very poor sub decisions and doesn’t seem to be able to inspire the squad consistently.
  20. Trying too hard. He needs a coach/person he respects to calm him down.
  21. Oh, I don’t know ! I wasn’t going to say Salah- vaguely remember a run of games when he did ok, but can’t be sure. Who don’t you ask Matt Elliott ; he was praising him on a live comms very recently. The point of my post was to ask for the personal attacks on him, and others, to stop. None of those doing it would say it to him in person.
  22. Thanks for posting that. I said earlier on this chain that people should stop making mean comments about his personality and lifestyle unless they know for sure, and instead just comment on his performances. He’s clearly completely out of form and confidence. ( Goodness why he does that stupid body holding thing).
  23. Ah ok, so it is true then? I didn’t know that - not lived in the city for years and don’t hear the rumours. You and the others itk should be calling it out on here more.
  24. Ah, but they mostly do live in their own protected worlds though don’t they. If he was out getting mullered, or the poster who called him a “sad little pisshead” knowing LT was in his local a lot, then fair enough. Those footballers who drink drive, crash cars under the influence, fight in public etc deserve all they get and media outrage, but the personal attacks without any evidence pee me off. He knows he’s in very poor form, and it’s very likely he’s us doing all he can to improve. If we do have a better option, than he must be dropped,
